I think some of you will be glad to know that this will be for sale soon.
Can't believe I almost didn't come. It was a very funny talk. Got a signed book too! #nationalbookfestival #stephenking
Eagerly awaiting the arrival of the King. #nationalbookfestival #stephenking
I just picked this one up for a dollar a couple weeks ago. I've never read anything by him except for Charlie and Matilda. Going to try a few tonight. At least the three suggested by gibblr . #roalddahlday #roalddahl100
This group of authors would be a fun bunch to have over for a dinner party I think. #shadesofblue #somethingforsept #septphotochallenge
Great stories. Ugly cover. #uglycover #somethingforsept #septphotochallenge
This cover has a bunch of little Bradbury Easter eggs. IDW put out 5 issues that adapted some of the works from the short story collection. They stuck with the bigger name authors for the comic but I think some of the others would have worked better in this format. Cover art by C.P. Wilson III.
I really liked this collection of Bradbury inspired short stories. Its kind of like a tribute album in book form.
I put music on while reading about half the time. Usually it's this podcast when I do. It really adds atmosphere while not distracting me with vocals or even melodies. It hasn't been updated in a while but there are hours of episodes available. Aphex Twin (ambient works), Brian Eno, Harold Budd, and Sunn O))) are all great to read with too. #booksandmusic
This came in the mail today. The envelope was well matched to what was inside. #funfridayphoto
I wish all books came with bound bookmarks. I like the way they dangle there. #bookmark #bookfetish

Look what came today! Hip Hop Family Tree is like a Ken Burns documentary spanning the entire history of hiphop in comic book form. Got that Harry Potter book too.
Even though it's no longer canon, this little tidbit will never leave my brain. I'm not sure I'll be finishing this.
Meet Cat from Transmetropolitan. He eats geckos, chain smokes, and urinates on command.
Meet Lying Cat from Saga. Calls you out when you're full of it.
Meet Alarm Cat. He's a robotic alarm clock cat who loves candy and reading. And he bakes too!
This book and Kate Beaton's first collection really exposed the gaps in my knowledge of history and literature but I still found them quite funny.
I'm going to take a little break from King and The Dark Tower at this point. There are other worlds than these and before I start in on Wolves of the Calla I plan to read a few more of what are considered the "secondary texts". Any suggestions as to what is vital and what isn't?
Just finished putting these four in my head right in a row. Wow! I don't know why I waited so long to pick up The Gunslinger but glad I finally did. I had to keep going after each one ended. Apparently some people aren't too keen on Wizard and Glass but I thought it was fantastic.
Between novels I'll usually read a graphic novel/comics or a couple short stories. They make a good palette cleanser. 😉
Loved this book! Creepy and sensual. No big shockers but it slowly unfolds it's secrets. Thanks library!
Gonna have to get a bottle of this to drink with THE POISON ARTIST. Great read so far.
"You just missed a perfectly good opportunity to toast an awful Coldplay T-shirt. If I ever spontaneously combust, I hope I'm holding a whole stack of their CDs." ?
