Thank you mom for tricking me into becoming a pure blooded reader. Every book I buy, borrow, steal from you or my sister, is all because of you.

This man. This MAAAANNN! How dare he be equally punchable AND kissable. And equally sneaky sneaky AND utterly naive. The whiplash of my affections!

Check out my new book! It‘s the third book in the series! What do you mean it‘s not the same series or even by the same author? But they look identical?!

Lol the bookstore sent me the wrong book, but they‘re sending the right one now. AND i get to keep this cute children‘s book about King Arthur. Win win!

I am only able to listen to history audiobooks while at work.… but the books I choose are about the powerful and scary women in history. I‘d consider that a win.

Did I just read 13 books in 7 days just to finish this book in like 2.5 hours? Yes I did. Do I have any regrets? No this book was excellent. I only wish there was another book waiting… I need mooooore!

And I say 7 days but I didn‘t read over the weekend or on Tuesday or Wednesday so… 3 days? Ish?

That moment when your hold for this book comes in at the library, and for the life of you, you cannot remember what happened in the last six books… or in the first four... But don‘t worry, I remember vividly books six and seven… but nothing else. Well , guess who‘s rereading 12 out of 14 books in a series, just so I can read this new one! 🙄🙄🙄

“I‘ll locate Vitalik‘s explosives stash while you‘re in the palace. The last thing we need is you getting blown up because he has the tactical acumen of a bucket of turnips.” - pg 44. Kekekekek. I have been giggling for the last 5 minutes about this line.

“Istvhan had never yet blamed a woman because he was attracted to her, and he certainly wasn‘t about to start now.” Jesus…. What a man. And the way I pictured this man is weathered but gentle giant…. Sigh….. 😌 I do love me a gentle giant.

“Saint‘s teeth, even if he hadn‘t been prone to berserker fits, there was nothing about Stephen that would set a maiden‘s heart alight. He was solid, reliable, and worried about people getting turned into severed heads or standing around with wet feet. Bards did not compose wistful ballads about men like him.”

I‘m sorry but I like my men solid, reliable and caring about severed heads and wet feet. Sounds like a good man to me Stephen.

I am equal parts offended and extremely impressed by this book. Offended because the next book isn‘t out. And impressed because this whole book kept me thoroughly on my toes and out of my mind. I sided with and alternatively distrusted everyone and everything at all times. My brain hurts so good. 😊

Okay, first of all, epic cover art. Like this is spectacular.

Secondly, I have, yet again 🙄, started a book without checking if it is from a completed series….. it is the first book and I see no second anywhere…

Thirdly, what exactly constitutes someone being a cyborg? Asking for a friend.

julesG This was published last year and yes, no idea when the next one is coming. Cyborg=cybernetic organism - a living/natural being that's been enhanced using technology. Think Borg, Robocop, but also Million Dollar Man. 4mo

Of all the presents I received from my dad on Christmas, this was the one I was most excited about. It is a children‘s book that tells the life story of Sitting Bull. My dad was so upset that he accidentally bought me a children‘s book, but this was the perfect way to peak my interest into a new reading subject. The book is stunning, with photographs and drawings covering each page. And it was written in a wonderfully beautiful and engaging way.

Okay first things first… epic cover. Dos, I was just about to start reading when I remembered it was Viking related and wondered if there was a glossary somewhere. And would you believe that I turned the page and found not only the glossary… but a whole ass pronunciation guide! And they look extensive!!! I don‘t even care if this book is bad (I haven‘t read it yet,) it gets minimum 3 stars just for that! 😍😍🥰🥰😘😘

I am in the introduction. Not even in the actual book yet, just the introduction! And I have already learned so much! For some reason the killing spree of Jack the Ripper and the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria being in the same time period just never clicked. Then there‘s the monetary system. I had some googling to do on that. Again I haven‘t even touched the main book yet! 😳😳😳

Don‘t mind me, just reading some sweet little stories to get out of my 2023 slump. This was nice and soft and squishy, like a good moss. If I weren‘t currently in a winter hellscape I‘d go outside and take in the trees. But alas, winter has finally reared is frigid head.
