I love when libraries have their little lists on Libby - this little gem is from Queens Public Library‘s Native American Heritage list. I may have downloaded like 10 books. Gonna read them while listening to football games.

Oh Marcellus… you beautiful brilliant creature. Gods this book was a great read! I listened to Marcellus‘ chapters on the audio book and whoever narrated him should have all the hugs. I will admit that I am still crying… and I may have outright sobbed, just a bit. A million and one stars ✨

History book club book for November. So of course I‘m starting early. And yes I know hindsight is 20/20… but have you ever read a history book and just spent 70% of the time shouting WHY?!?! and the remaining 30% googling the words used?

Because historically, people in power were big dumb.

I spent roughly 80% of this book crying….. or raging…… what the hell?!

The tears may be due to the fact that I absolutely pulled an all nighter to read this in one sitting…..

I am only able to listen to history audiobooks while at work.… but the books I choose are about the powerful and scary women in history. I‘d consider that a win.

Did I just read 13 books in 7 days just to finish this book in like 2.5 hours? Yes I did. Do I have any regrets? No this book was excellent. I only wish there was another book waiting… I need mooooore!

And I say 7 days but I didn‘t read over the weekend or on Tuesday or Wednesday so… 3 days? Ish?

That moment when your hold for this book comes in at the library, and for the life of you, you cannot remember what happened in the last six books… or in the first four... But don‘t worry, I remember vividly books six and seven… but nothing else. Well , guess who‘s rereading 12 out of 14 books in a series, just so I can read this new one! 🙄🙄🙄

I am equal parts offended and extremely impressed by this book. Offended because the next book isn‘t out. And impressed because this whole book kept me thoroughly on my toes and out of my mind. I sided with and alternatively distrusted everyone and everything at all times. My brain hurts so good. 😊

Of all the presents I received from my dad on Christmas, this was the one I was most excited about. It is a children‘s book that tells the life story of Sitting Bull. My dad was so upset that he accidentally bought me a children‘s book, but this was the perfect way to peak my interest into a new reading subject. The book is stunning, with photographs and drawings covering each page. And it was written in a wonderfully beautiful and engaging way.

Okay first things first… epic cover. Dos, I was just about to start reading when I remembered it was Viking related and wondered if there was a glossary somewhere. And would you believe that I turned the page and found not only the glossary… but a whole ass pronunciation guide! And they look extensive!!! I don‘t even care if this book is bad (I haven‘t read it yet,) it gets minimum 3 stars just for that! 😍😍🥰🥰😘😘

I am in the introduction. Not even in the actual book yet, just the introduction! And I have already learned so much! For some reason the killing spree of Jack the Ripper and the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria being in the same time period just never clicked. Then there‘s the monetary system. I had some googling to do on that. Again I haven‘t even touched the main book yet! 😳😳😳

Sometimes you‘re just in the mood for Arthurian stuff. And I would like to lodge a formal complaint against the word TRAVAIL. It makes my hands itch. My brain dislikes the way it looks and sounds.

Rereading this delightful book and stumbled upon the villain being unnecessarily attractive and relatable. He‘s so hot… 🥵

That moment when a book is so chonky that you have to split it into manageable 100 page chonks to make reading it feel possible. Hopefully I‘ll get so deep that the chonkiness will become irrelevant, but until then… 100 pages a day

Ohh. This was just beautiful. I listened to this on audio book and this was truly beautiful

Don‘t mind me, just reading some sweet little stories to get out of my 2023 slump. This was nice and soft and squishy, like a good moss. If I weren‘t currently in a winter hellscape I‘d go outside and take in the trees. But alas, winter has finally reared is frigid head.

I am betrayed. Who said it was okay to make me acknowledge my emotions. How dare. This short story was wonderful.

So cute and satisfying. 10/10.

Honestly, I watched a review of this, then read the synopsis. I am 1 chapter into this book. Why does my chest hurt like I‘ve been punched by the Hulk? Hoo boy was that a chapter.
