Decided to take Reese‘s suggestion and start reading this book. Only a few pages in but so far I‘m liking it.

I‘m only about 100 pages in, but loving it.
I finished this book last week. I really enjoyed it. The only thing that bothered me was that some of the stories/essays were out of chronological order. Other then that, AMAZING book!
This is the third book in the Asylum series by Madeleine Roux. Dan and his friends head to New Orleans to settle Jordan into his uncles house. While there, Dan learns more about his parents and why they died. All in all, it was a god book. I didn‘t live out like I did the first two in the series. There is a fourth book, a prequel.
Getting ready to start! So excited to see how this series ends. 😁
@MaleficentBookDragon I‘ll be starting this book tomorrow. I‘m looking forward to reading the third book in this series!
I finished The Deep Dark Descending by Allen Eskens! This is not a book I would have picked up, but my youngest asked me to read it... A burnt out, middle age cop is trying to solve the murder of his wife and a prostitute. The whole book takes place in a three day period. It moved very quickly.
Listening to this on my walks. So far I really like it.
Somehow, neither of my children are readers! :( Both my ex-husband and I are avid readers so I don't understand why my children aren't. So, when my youngest asked me to read this book because she had read it and liked it, I was like, Of Course I Will Read This Book! :) I'm not that far in, but it's pretty good so far. It's not something I would have picked up and read, but when my daughter asks me to, of course I'm going to read it.
Getting ready to start! 😁
I just finished this book. His writing gets better and better.
I love Tony Hillerman. I‘m excited to start reading his daughters books in this series. This book is by far one of my favorites in the series, so far.
My current read. I love Fiona Davis! Her books are always really good.
Finished book 2 of the Silver Springs series. Pretty good book. Not, on to book three.
Started book 2 last week. Didn‘t get very far yet, life keys getting in the way! 😜
Just finished book one of the Silver Springs series. Typical romance. Some of the sentence structures were a little weird, but a quick read.
Hey Brenda Novak fans! She announced in her newsletter today there‘s a binge read of her Silver Springs books with a prize.
One of my current reads. So far, really good.
"... That dance is your prayer. So don't rush it, and don't dance how you practice. There's only one way for an Indian man to express himself. It's that dance that comes from all the way back there. All the way over there. You learn to dance to keep it, to use it." ♥️???
"The thing we most don't want has a way of landing right on top of us. That badger medicine's how the only thing that stands a chance at helping. You gotta learn how to start down there. Way deep down inside yourself, unafraid."
This has been on my TBR list since it came out. Because I have a parent that suffers from Huntington's this book could be a wrong choice. Fingers crossed I can get through it.
I have biracial children so I find this book to be helpful and informative. I would recommend that everyone read it.
Very well written. He doesn't have answers, he's trying to figure out out like the rest of us. He's honest and willingly bars his mistakes for all to see.
"But if you think of love as a verb, an action, then the sentence becomes a promise for action, stipulating your commitment to that other person in the moment, in that day, to act with love, in love, anchored with clear and positive intent."
Book 11 of the Leaphorn and Chee series. Always a good series to read. This book had them trying to solve three murders across several jurisdictions.
My current read. This is my second or third time reading these books. All very well written.
I'm all about empowerment this year! This is really a great book. It's about becoming the person you were meant to be, but not doing it in a way that is harmful to others.
It was a cute book. The only reason I'm saying So-So is because there were placed, I felt, dragged to much; there were things that could have been left out. Otherwise it's a light, fun read.
This is a 5 out of 5 book. A lot of it may seem like coming sense, but we aren't living that common sense.
I don't have the words for how much I loved this book and how insightful and helpful it was.
"The truth is that falling hurts. The dare is to keep being brave and feel your way back up." Bremerton Brown - Rising Strong
Great book! Got a little bogged down with technical talk at times, but otherwise a real well written, ready to read book.
As you can tell I haven't updated in awhile. I'm making my way there the Great American Read list and I'm reading them anyway I can. Other than The Help, this has been my other favorite to date. Well written, good story.
I was not overly impressed with this book. I tried to figure out why it was considered a children's classic the entire time I was reading it. I won't be reading the rest of the books.
This was a fun read. I loved all of the relationships in this book.
