Yay! Finished my #DoubleSpin book just in time. Definitely not as good as the first book.

I ended up loving this series, and I was really sad when it finished.
Book 129🎧
Not quite as creepy as the first 2 but I did like that this time we got more of Dans backstory!
Someone knows what happened to Dans parents, so the trio go on a search…but the Bone Artist has other plans for them.☠️
I got some #BookLove from @MaleficentBookDragon thank you! I‘m going to have some good chills coming up. 🥰
🎧📚 It took me more than a minute to realize that I skipped book two. Still read it. I like & own this series.
Three teenagers go on a senior year road trip. So much happens. Of course it‘s a little predictable but a fun read.
They head to NOLA, get messages from someone who died on Halloween last year, Dan finds out that he‘s tied to a crazy sick group called the Bone Artists & finds out maybe he‘s not as alone as he thought he was.
⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
⭐⭐⭐⭐ The third installment of the Asylum series brings us to New Orleans where superstitions are a normal way of life. The main characters find themselves chasing leads to find Dan's parents. These leads end up in big trouble for the three friends. Once again, we find Dan in a scary situation that no one knows if he will ever be able to escape. A great #ya #mystery novel!
This is the third book in the Asylum series by Madeleine Roux. Dan and his friends head to New Orleans to settle Jordan into his uncles house. While there, Dan learns more about his parents and why they died. All in all, it was a god book. I didn‘t live out like I did the first two in the series. There is a fourth book, a prequel.
Another square filled in my #bookspinbingo card. I'm absolutely out of my reading slump.
@TheAromaofBooks
I decided to finish off the Asulum series.
I feel this way all the time. Because work is so draining for me, I like my weekends low key with not a lot of socializing. For the most part.
Getting ready to start! So excited to see how this series ends. 😁
@MaleficentBookDragon I‘ll be starting this book tomorrow. I‘m looking forward to reading the third book in this series!
After the first two books, this didn‘t really flow for me in the context of the series. I got excited but the change of scenery to New Orleans. I just felt the first and second book flowed more and were more engaging.
I liked this book the most out of the three. I think a lot had to do with the New Orleans setting and the whole plot involving the Bone Artists, which I found fascinating. Honestly, I would love to read a whole novel dedicated to the Bone Artists. My one issue with this series, is that Roux has a bad habit of making her villains go into very cliche “mustache twirling” dialogue. That aside, it‘s still fun & great to break out of a Reading Slump.
Uh, Abby, you guys are three books into a trilogy. By now you should be well aware that it is NEVER “someone‘s sick idea of a joke”. 😂
I for sure thought the last book would ruin the series for me. It did not disappoint! It tired up loose ends and was just as amazing as the first two.
This series has been one of those can‘t put down kinda reads. Delightfully creepy with the real photos dispersed throughout, and it‘s intriguing ghost story mystery. So far I give all three books ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“Be not too happy nor too proud, beware your luck, crow not too loud; the Bone Artist steals and then he leaves: the Bone Artist, the Conjurer, the Prince of the Body Thieves.”
So far I‘m really enjoying book number 3. I‘ll have to get the novella and the prequel if this keeps up!
This book was okay. Madeleine Roux is a good author but the plot just felt rather predictable to me. However if you are looking for a slightly creepy and easy read this is the way to go. It's easy to finish this book in just an afternoon.
Starting this, it's due soon at the library and I know I'll get through it within the day.
This wasn't my favorite book in the series. I didn't care for the ending and I felt that the story line wasn't quite as compelling as the others. Also, I feel like it was a bit disjointed and there were some loose ends that were never fulfilled.
I really enjoyed the first two books in this series. But, I didn't feel the same sense of dread or creepiness in this one. For me it was just so-so.
Dan, Abby, and Jordan are excited to take one last road trip together, but on their way to visit Jordan's uncle in New Orleans, the three friends notice that they're being followed and photographed, and Dan receives messages from someone he didn't expect to hear from again.
Madeleine Roux❤️
What an exciting 3rd book!
Very different the the other two. New Orleans was the perfect location for this books storyline. I loved it 😊
🌟🌟🌟🌟4/5 stars
Madeleine Roux 👻❤️
Catacomb here we come!
This series just got increasingly creepier as it went on. I enjoyed this book. I was a fan of the the main trilogy had different mysteries that all connected.
Please PLEASE tell me that this is not the last book in the series. It just keeps getting better with each book. I love the story that Dan and his friends are going on and I don't want it to end. Well done Madeleine Roux once again!
