While most students were oblivious, these few stormed the streets of Aalborg on their bicycles to try to even the score.

I would recommend this book for 6th to 7th graders. I think this is a longer read and the information is heavy and might be hard to for the younger age group.
Full Book- This book was great and interesting read. It followed the life of a boy name Knud during WW2. He led a resistance group that vandalized German equipment and cut telephone wires. This book was historically accurate and told the story in full detail.
This book recaps the story of the Danish Resistance #underground group during World War II, the Churchill Club, and its leader and founder, Knud Pedersen.

It was the same title that had landed me in two Danish prisons.
Boys and Hitler in red really makes it stand out.
I think this book teaches an important lesson about questioning authority that resonates with the students at this age. I also had no clue about the churchill club so it was fun to learn about.
This book looks really good and I‘m ready to read this this as soon as I finish Charlotte Doyle

True account of the Danish teens who dared to fight the Nazi war machine
I can‘t decide on a single book for #YAWednesday this week! I brought a stack of nonfiction books home from my middle school class library this summer for my nephew to read, so I‘m making a few posts.
This is a fantastic book about the youth involved in the Danish Resistance during WWII.

The only living member of the Churchill-group, a Danish resistance group during WWII, was just on TV. Brought the tagged book to mind. If you're into nonfiction WWII, it's a fantastic read. ✊✊✊
Finally got around to finishing this gem about a group of young boys who formed a resistance group in Aalborg, Denmark, during WWII. Definitely fed my history-nerd heart with stories of how the resistance made life difficult for the Nazi soldiers who occupied the country. Resist! ✊
I love books about little known history. This narrative nonfiction book goes back and forth between the author and Knud Peterson, founder of the Churchill Club. This group of young men started to resist the Nazi's invasion of Denmark. This is the story of the group and their acts of sabotage.
Fascinating account of the years of Nazi occupation of Denmark 🇩🇰 and the young boys who became the face of Danish resistance. Excellent read.
I don't read a lot of history books because they tend to bore me, but let me tell you: this is not a boring book! Interesting and exciting, I learned about a part of WW2 I didn't know anything about. I'll have to check out other books by Hoose.

Sneaking in a few chapters whilst the rest of the crew is planning today's shots. Being in the lights department is the best. But we finish shooting this dang short film today and I'm very excited! 🎉
Great nonfiction for ya readers. It's a story I did not know and found very interesting.
