1. So, I enjoyed this book. I wouldn't say it was my favorite that we have read for #PLC but I did enjoy it.

2. Not really. I mean I have a huge TBR and it keeps growing by the second. I do have others that we have read in this group that I would like to read the next books to, so, although I am glad I read it and enjoyed it, I think I am getting off at the “First Book Station“ this time around.

1. I really enjoyed it. I think this was the best of the trilogy.
2. I‘ve read the rest and was disappointed with the romance angle. But the world building really improved. Also, good villains!

I really enjoyed this months #ParanormalLoveCrew pick.

Although I wasn‘t a huge fan of the main character at first, she did grow on me. And choosing between 2 worlds is never an easy task. I‘m pretty sure I would be irritable too!
I hope to read the other 2 in this trilogy eventually (this group is really expanding my already large tbr pile!).

So I think they made more sense than her original coupling. Like it was just one of those they “fit“ much better. I know he has to be (and it makes for a better story for him to be) but I didn't like his super “I know things but I am not telling“ type of communications. Kinda reminds me of those Facebook messages that are super vague. Like I hate to beg people to talk to me or tell me something.

I haven‘t finished the book yet (about 3/4 through) but I do like Kona and Tempest. He seems pretty genuine, and I definitely prefer him to Mark.

So Tempest has a lot going on. She seems to have taken everything well. I think it just shows so much of her character, her strength. I really did love her character.

So part of what I hated about Kona is ... he knows more of what is going on but then doesn't tell her. So that was pretty frustrating... I mean of course that creates conflict and grown on Tempest part but still! Grr.

So thinking some sort of shifter type of creature. Where I can shift into whatever (think Sam from True Blood) and then just elope from my life and just be a bird for a while :)

I love the idea of having some underwater adventures. I would love it I had some sort of aqua man type powers and can talk to the animals too. I love the water! so very very much! So being a mermaid would be amazing!

I thought I‘d just start this yesterday afternoon and HAD TO FINISH IT.
I was a bit worried when it started it was going to be teenage angsty- but soon got caught up in the magic.
I have also got such cravings to go to a beach now...

Going to sneak on to the sequel...

Dirk Gently‘s holistic detective agency by Douglas Adams. There are only two Dirk novels and I would have loved to read more. I love the little side stories that get caught up along the way - like the sofa. And the idea of just driving and following a car because you might not end up where you intended to go but where you needed to be... quirky and funny.

One book I wish had a sequel is Sunshine by Robin McKinley. The world she built was so rich, I would love to see more stories set there. At least I don‘t think there is, although one was mentioned as a possibility. So maybe I will see it one day ☺️

In other news I am about 1/4 way through this months pick and liking it so far :)

I finished part one of this on my commute today.
I am quite enjoying the audiobook thing now :)

The book is definitely young adult. Some of the language used puts me off a bit at times (lots of lames for example) but the story so far is keeping me interested and I am looking forward to seeing what choices she makes as she is forced to choose between her human and mermaid halves!

1) Half human and half bird maybe? Kinda like an angel type thing? I can‘t imagine many animals or things I would want to be half of if it‘s physical haha

2) If I had to be physically a mermaid then I would have to stay in the water I guess? If I could choose between human and mermaid like in the book, I would probably stick with human. I would have a life on land at that point and it would be hard to break away.

So. I have to go with The Little Mermaid. I love all the songs, the beauty and it made me want to be a red-head so so much! I had a choir solo for Part of Your World --- hah!

This is my first mermaid book (unless you count Harry Potter --- wasn't there a Mermaid in the Goblet of Fire --- I am re-visiting Harry Potter -- its been years) , Anyway, I really am enjoying this one so far!

I had to go into work today to collect a laptop. So I had chance to start this audiobook. This is only my second audiobook ever, so we will see how I get on, but I am liking it so far. :)

2) I don‘t think I have actually read a mermaid book, and if I have they haven‘t stuck with me... I have read The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Anderson before, and the only other ones I can think of that even include mermaids are Peter Pan, and Tiger Lily. I have a mermaid book on the shelf-Into the Drowning Deep-but haven‘t read it yet!
