In 1894 no women were involved in forensic science. Madeleine‘s father is Doctor Death. Madeleine takes over his cases when he is injured. 17 year old Cecile Montaine's body is found - it has bite marks, mites and bacterial disease. A priest is found. She must seek knowledge behind convent walls, in secret diaries, in the yellow stare of an aging wolf. Gripping mystery and a coming-of-age story - relationship of man and wolves. Very unique story!

I might try to read this one during the #LitsyPartyofOne this weekend. I am off Friday, Sunday and Monday but work Saturday. Still I could probably get a good amount of reading in on those three days off.

So this book didn't really have chapters, just had 4 parts broken into timeframes. At first I didn't care for it, but as I was reading it was easier to remain in the story instead of having to start a new chapter. This book was really good, set in the 1800s where Madeleine wants to become a pathologist like her father. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

#MysteryMonday Cozy mysteries that I got this past weekend and a couple of others on my TBR. I am starting Doctor Death today and it sounds like it's gonna be good! I haven't read any of these books yet, but can't wait to read them! #AwesomeAutumnBooks

queerbookreader I started the hashtag #ilovecozies so Littens can keep up with what kind of cozy mysteries we're all reading! 💜 I have heard good things about that Hatshop series also 7y
Laughterhp @thequeerspiderwoman That's great to know! I'll be sure to start using that hashtag too. 7y
