By the same author of one of my 'M' books, this is a bittersweet story inspired by a traveling librarian in Colombia. After Ana's village loses its only teacher, she is heartbroken at the loss. Then one day, a librarian shows up with two burros and books..a biblioburro! Make sure to read the Author's Note!

Waiting for the Biblioburro is a really cute story. I love children's books about loving books, and this story of a man who brings books to children in a mobile library carried by donkeys (based on the real story of Luis Soriano Bohorquez, a man who did exactly that in rural Colombia) especially gets me.

This made for a great bedtime story for me, and I am sure booklovers of all ages will smile when they read this.

As most of you might know (fr the Internet), Luis Soriano Bohórquez is the beloved librarian who brings books via his two donkeys, Alfa & Beto, to the children in rural villages of Colombia who otherwise wouldn't have access to books! 💓

Being Colombian myself, this lovely childrens book has a special place in my ❤...plus it's about reading & the power of librarians-and it's BILINGUAL!! 🤓📚💪🤗
