Keep Me Posted
Keep Me Posted | Lisa Beazley
Two sisters share the surprising highs and cringe-worthy lows of social media fame, when their most private thoughts become incredibly public in this fresh and funny debut novel. Sisters Cassie and Sid Sunday have not done a bang-up job of keeping in touch. In their defense, it hasnt been easy: life veered in sharply different directions for the once-close sisters. Today, beautiful and big-hearted Sid lives an expats life of leisure in far-off Singapore, while harried, iPhone-clutching Cassie cant seem to make it work as a wife and a mom to twin toddlers in Manhattan. It doesn't help that Sid spurns all social media while Cassie is addicted to Facebook. So when Sid issues a challenge to reconnect the old-fashioned waythrough real, handwritten lettersCassie figures, why not? The experiment exceeds both of their expectations, and the letters become a kind of mutual confessional that have real and soul-satisfying effects. And they just might have the power to help Cassie save her marriage, and give Sid the strength to get her life back on track. But first, one of Cassies infamous lapses in judgment comes back to bite her, and all of the letters wind up the one place youd never, ever want to see them: the Internet...

@SarahKat84 It's on its way! Well, most of it. I'm mailing it this late because I'm waiting on an Etsy package that says it shipped ages ago but it hasn't arrived, so you get a bonus package as soon it gets here. I'm sorry! Don't they know we have a Litsy exchange going?! #SummerSantaGoesPostal #SummerSolsticeBookExchange @BookishMarginalia

SarahKat84 Can't wait! Looks like it has some fabulous goodies. That Etsy shop really needs to get their priorities straight. Lol. 😂 7y

My new currently read. I have to put down Risuko cos I couldn't get myself into the story. Maybe in some other time when I don't have personal issues. By the way, I'm starting to love Keep Me Posted. Have you read the story? What's your thoughts about it?

I just couldn't finish this book. As a mom of a young child, I was hoping I could get into it and enjoy the light and airy bits of this book but I couldn't. I found myself skimming pages about halfway through. Oh well! On to the next book!

This book was fine. Light and fun and it made me miss my sister. A bit simplistic but with a voice that I'm sure many mothers of young children could relate to.

MrBook The book may be so-so, but your picture is great 😊👍🏻! 8y

#TBRTuesday. Another great haul from my library's bookstore. They are "selling" ARCs for $1 as a fundraiser. Donated by a local indie bookstore.

First book down! This book combined my love of literature and letters. Cute, sweet easy read about two sisters trying to stay connected with something other than a cell phone. #24in48

Read this one for my neighborhood book group for July. Great beach read just what we needed for the summer. Very Hallmark channel.

This book was well written and I really liked watching the family grow through the novel. This really brings letter writing into perspective and makes me want to pick it up with my own sister. I would definitely recommend for a fun, light read.

I mean....it was fine. But in a week, I won't remember anything about this sort of bland mommy-lit novel...

A perfect beach/pool read. Light, and easy to read but wrapped within an emotional journey, told through old fashion letter writing, between sisters with some hard truths about marriage and motherhood.

I loved so much about this book: the realness of the characters (they have flaws and make mistakes!), the exchanging of actual letters in this digital age (they had to walk to the post office box!), and the reminder that sometimes a boring life is a good thing.

"You know what our writing experiment has taught me? The power of having something to look forward to. Knowing every day that when I go to the mailbox there might be a letter from you-it's transformed my whole outlook. Let thinks transform you. Little things, even, can be magic. Be open to them."
