May was a pretty good reading month for me, can‘t remember the last time I got through 10 books in a month! Favourite was the tagged book, the first Montalbano novel I‘ve read but definitely not the last! Least favourite was probably Then She Was Gone, far too predictable.

I first discovered Inspector Montalbano, an Italian detective in Sicily, through the TV show, which my parents were fans of. I don‘t watch much in the way of TV, but do love reading, so always planned to get around to reading Andrea Camilleri‘s books sooner or later. This is the first I‘ve read, and I really enjoyed it. Great characters, good plot development, overall a good police procedural with some humorous moments.

Started reading the next book in the excellent Inspector Montalbano Series, Book 18, as a little light relief to the two #Chunksters I am reading. 1. Tombland by C J Sansom, 880 Pages 2. Firefly Summer by Maeve Binchy, 928 Pages.
