I knew this book was used when I bought it, but this takes “Used” to a whole nother level! (I‘m holding onto my American Midwestern roots by saying “nother”.)

I fell back in love w poetry after reading this back in December and began writing again. Such is the inspiration that Heaney's words evoked deep inside of me. Irish poets and Irish whiskey and the Irish countryside: all unnervingly beautiful.

Spirit Level: Poems | Seamus Heaney, Heaney Seamus

I was about to take a photo of Seamus Heaney's book The Spirit Level in front of the fireplace but my husband was just about to put the fire out. So instead he got to pose with the book. He's a good sport, and at least in my book is poetry in motion!

This might just break the internet. 😂😂😂
