This poem was included in Billy Collins‘ 1991 book (tagged). Always loved it as it was so me-since childhood have always read before sleep- my whole family did. I have such peaceful memories of my sisters & I (3to a bedroom) chatting then reading ourselves to sleep in quiet, content unison. Resurrected this slim book this Christmas week.
