After I posted my very small collection of these books, the lovely @CrowCAH mailed me her bigger collection (a thank you will be mailed soon 😉), and the lovely @brilliantglow told me about Thriftbooks having a lot of these for very cheap. I ended up getting a welcome code and free shipping because it was over $10 so I spent $30 for 19 books! My collection is definitely getting bigger for my Daughter ❤ Thank you BOTH 😍

minkyb I am sitting here trying to figure out what we did with ours lol. They must be boxed up somewhere in this house. Her apartment is way too small for all her books. I have had excellent luck with Thrift Books since I discovered them. I like that you earn bonus $. 7y

It got lost in one of my many moves, but my missing ones from the ND collection have since been replaced one or two at a time. So... now it is replacing the ones I lost and completing it with others I didn't have ❤ 7y

Chelsibno OMG! I loved these series when I was a kid! I have seven of them on my shelf right now. My fifth grade teacher actually gave me a set of tapes of the HBO series as a reward for working hard to improve my math skills. I still own them, even though I no longer own a VCR. 7y

Books kids read growing up are impotant in shaping them and diversity in kids lit is sorely lacking. Here are a selection of my Dear America books, a series I loved growing up. History has long been a favorite so most of my books from childhood are of that genre but I also want to note that while it is important to see how far we've come, racism and other isms are,sadly, very much alive. #weneeddiversebooks #seasonsreadings2016 @RealLifeReading
