pickI really enjoyed this non-fiction account of the Hill family of daredevils who each had a close relationship with Niagara Falls. Reading of their exploits along with others who attempted to go over the Falls (some more successfully than others) was fascinating. The author knew the family and area well which added to the book.
Two years ago, my husband and I traveled to Canada and stopped at Niagara Falls(Canadian side). I started this ebook to build up my excitement over the trip. Alas, once we started, I never finished it!

pickMy #nonficpick for September. It's the history of people going over Niagara Falls, focusing mainly on one family in particular. It was really interesting. Fun fact I learned: One person who survived the plunge later died of the common cold, while another survivor later died after stepping on an orange peel! Isn't that crazy? 🍊 #nonfiction #audible #history
so-soI wasn‘t quite able to “connect” much with the people this book talk about, it was just a blur of names, and therefore the book ended up feeling a bit too long. And I really don‘t get daredevils. Really don‘t.
pickThis was a history lesson I didn't know I needed. Written beautifully, Clarkson paints a gorgeous picture of the Hill family and their love for Niagara Falls.
