OK but quite detailed history of Victoria's 5 royal daughters and what they did. Queen Victoria lived a long life and her relatives were in several thrones in Europe, especially in Germany. Kaiser Wilhelm II of World War I was her grandson on the mother's side! Good inside information. Some parts get a little tedious.
Started reading this English royal history book about Queen Victoria and her daughters. I find kings and queens of England very interesting.
This is a really good source to find information about Queen Victoria‘s daughters. There were a few parts where I lost interest, mostly with German/Prussian politics, but I can see why it was included with Vicky married to a future Kaiser. It started to get confusing when the focus started being on Victoria‘s grandchildren. Partly because of the common, repeated names, but also just because there got to be so many! Cont in comments...
This book was a freebie, so I feel no guilt in bailing on it. Between the typos, the snide tone towards most of the women in the book, and the incorrect statements (with no citations to even attempt to back them), I gave up.
Too tired to even haul my butt to the beach so in between naps on my parents‘ front lawn, I read this decadent (though oddly full of typos) book that caters to my royals obsession.
