Pickpick

Sigarni is one of the most complex female fantasy characters l've ever read. A girl who kicked ass when that wasn‘t fashion yet, she is truly ruthless and not just a mite controversial. Especially in the first novel of the duology, lronhand Daughter, she's a woman who doesn't care to pursue her every desire unconcern with anyone's need.
But she goes through a huge evolution and in this novel she's a true #PrincessOfPower

This series makes a #PrincessOfPower or two out of the fairytale classics. I love it. ❤️ #Characters2017

jetwithjess I love this series !! 3y
hes7 @jetwithjess Me too! I'm pining for a reread soon. 😂 3y
GypsyKat Love this series! Great choice! 3y
MinDea I have had Cinder on my bookshelf for a while now. I really want to read it but just have not. I love twists on fairytales and think I would really like it.... 3y

When I was growing up I had ALL the She-ra books. She was the true #princessofpower. I do finding it interesting that Litsy does not hit on any books that do not start with He-Man. Hummmmmm #characters2017. (Sorry I'm late for my own photo challenge).

ReadingRover Bad Litsy. She-Ra was the best! I had every toy and because I was older when I played with my brother she always beat He-Man!!! 3y
GypsyKat I loved She-Ra! 3y
LibrarianRyan @ReadingRover I even have a She-Reads shirt. The only down side is on my shirt she wears a turban. They redid the design to have her iconic head dress. Part of me wants a new one, I just do t want to pay for it. 3y

ferskner The best part was when the sparkly ribbons appeared - this image captures it perfectly! 3y
readinginthedark Where did you get that shirt? It sounds awesome! (edited) 3y
LibrarianRyan @readinginthedark tee public. If it's not packed and I can find it I'll snag a pic tonight. 3y
LibrarianRyan @ferskner 👍🏻👍🏻 3y
readinginthedark @LibrarianRyan Awesome! 👍🏻 3y
ReadingRover @LibrarianRyan Omg it's probably worth a lot of money since she's not wearing the classic headdress! Lol 3y
LibrarianRyan @ReadingRover I'm going to look at it that way from now on. 😜 3y

I could never pick one cause I love all three! So Mirabella, Arsinoe, and Katherine are my choice for #princessofpower. All different, all strong, unique and vulnerable in there own ways. I'm so excited for thr next book! Yet sad cause only one can be queen. #elemental #poisoner #naturalist #muchlove

LibrarianRyan I started this book months ago and put it aside. I plan on finishing it. Plus it would be nice to be closer to the release date of the sequel. 👍🏻🤓 3y
BookBoggart @LibrarianRyan I wish I had a foresight to do that! I was so angry at the end because I had/have to wait so long to know more! 😂 3y

#Characters2017 #PrincessofPower OK, I admit I couldn't think of any books with Princesses of Power in them in my stacks. I don't remember the princess in The Princess and the Pea having a name, but she had the power of detecting a pea under 20 mattresses.😆I remember being fascinated with the story when I was very young. I wanted to sleep on a stack of mattresses & I hid peas under my mattress to see if I'd be able to sleep with them there.😴👑

CouronneDhiver Love it! 😍 3y
LibrarianRyan 😁👍🏻🤓 3y
StephanieMarie Gail carson Levine does a retelling of princess in the pea that I really enjoyed in this collection: 3y

Mehrunnisa may be Prince Salim's 20th wife but she is a #princessofpower. It appears that this is a trilogy and I only read the first book. #characters2017

Sara Crewe is my #PrincessOfPower

Sara is doted on by her widowed father, who insists on every luxury being available to her when she moves from their home in India to a boarding school in London, when he joins the war.

When her father dies, he leaves behind a large bill, and Sara becomes a pauper. Sara however never loses hope and continues to see the best in people!

If that's not powerful I don't know what is :)

RachelO That picture's gorgeous! Is it from a particular version of the book? 3y

Bookworm54 @RachelO it's from the first edition. I unfortunately don't own it but I most definitely covet it! 3y
