His writing style is so engrossing. Even within each of these short stories, he is so vivid in the characters, emotions, settings, and themes. I enjoyed the majority of them. Many of the plots had those great kicker moments right at the end that make a short story really sing. There were a few that had frustratingly racist moments, and one in particular that was very racist.

These are the two books I picked up at B&N last night.
One of my non-bookish obsessions is The Beatles, and I am super excited to do some coloring this weekend, since I have no plans to do anything outside my house!
This B&N edition of Fitzgerald includes Flappers and Philosophers and The Beautiful and the Damned, plus a bunch of short stories. I thought the $7.98 discounted price was pretty reasonable.

A journal I kept a few years ago. I definitely wrote about very emotional things, which is pretty appropriate considering it's Fitzgerald. #riotgrams #NotebooksJournals

Today's "Operation Finish All the Books I'm in the Middle Of" has turned into a journey of discovery titled "Oh—so THAT'S where all my favorite bookmarks went."
Another masterpiece from a great American writer. If Gatsby turned you off of Fitzgerald's writing, give these short stories a try.
"Oh, I've been through hell without a whine quite often--and the female hell is deadlier than the male."

When you're reading Fitzgerald but still thinking about LEMONADE.
