"Annajane Hudgens truly believes she is over her ex-husband, Mason Bayless. They've been divorced for four years, she's engaged to a new, terrific guy, and she's ready to leave the small town where she and Mason had so much history. She is so over Mason that she has absolutely no problem attending his wedding to the beautiful, intelligent, delightful Celia. But when fate intervenes and the wedding is called to a halt as the bride is literally walking down the aisle, Annajane begins to realize that maybe she's been given a second chance. Maybe everything happens for a reason. And maybe, just maybe, she wants Mason back. But there are secrets afoot in this small southern town. On the peaceful surface of Hideaway Lake, Annajane discovers that the past is never really gone. Even if there are people determined to keep Annajane from getting what she wants, happiness might be hers for the taking, and the life she once had with Mason in this sleepy lake town might be in her future"--

Yesterday (bottom insert), I had daffodils sprouting that were just about ready to open.....This morning, surprise! More snow!!!

It‘s beautiful, but I still have #SpringFever

Chelleo Same here!! I‘m so over it! Either give me a full-on snow storm or just step aside winter! 😫 7y
Tamra Us too - winter storm rolling in. 7y

RebelReader I‘m so done with winter! I feel bad to complain because I‘ve had 3 weeks off in warmer climates, but it‘s April for heavens sake! 7y
Ubookquitous Our daffodils and hyacinth have already bloomed and are now 2 inches deep in snow ❄️ 😒 7y
CouronneDhiver You aren‘t alone. Three more days of snow forecasted at the moment 😒 7y
Crazeedi @Riveted_Reader_Melissa my hyacinths started to pip up and I fear they will be frozen off and I won't get to smell their beautiful fragrance 😕 7y
CoffeeK8 Same here, our daffodils and tulips are up and covered in snow, and a couple of my roses have the beginning of buds that froze 😬 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Chelleo Don‘t say that, I went that way last year and got 2 feet of snow, everything was not only buried, but died off and didn‘t bloom at all last year.😱 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Crazeedi & @CoffeeK8 It‘s depressing right! You are so looking forward to those little glimpses of spring, and then to have them squashed seems particularly unfair. (edited) 7y
CoffeeK8 @Riveted_Reader_Melissa agreed... the poor plants never had a chance 7y
Gezemice We had snow last weekend, too... no snow now but it is cold. Freezing tonight. Supposed to be 23F tomorrow morning. Brrrrrr. I want spring! 7y

I keep finishing books I'm not "currently reading". Here I am picking up another cheat book...what's this all about? I've been "currently reading" The Dark Fountain since January 1st and finished seven other books in the meantime. #cheatbook #currentlyreading

I knew this would take me out of my rut. Mary Kay Andrews succeeds in the details. For instance, she writes so passionately about Quixie, a regional brand of cherry soda, that you find yourself nostalgic for something that doesn't exist. And she does it while tugging at your heartstrings and making you laugh. She's a master at what she does. (And here's another gratuitous picture of my adorable cat being adorable)

ferskner I'm always in the mood for MKA 7y

In a reading rut. Between Hurricane Harvey, some personal stuff, and worn stress (also Harvey related) I haven‘t really been loving most of what I‘m reading. So I‘m going back to a sure thing. If anything can break this rut, it‘s a MKA book.

johnnie_cakes That‘s supposed to be WORK stress, but that app is being wonky and I can‘t edit the post. 7y
LauraBrook Seems like there‘s a lot of blahs going around. Hope comfort reading can help pull you out of your slump! 💖 7y

This story was fun and felt like the perfect escape. Predictable in some places with a twist thrown in that I was not expecting! Loved the small-town NC setting. Adding the audiobook was a great decision. 👍🏻 Narrator Kathleen McInerney makes these already-vivid characters come alive.

My first book by this author. I picked it up impulsively because of the springtime look to the cover. ☀️🌼 Now that I've started it, I'm most excited because this book is full of North Carolina, which is my home. A 'home' setting tends to make me love a book even more.
