Dangerous Minds
Dangerous Minds: A Knight and Moon Novel | Janet Evanovich
21 posts | 31 read | 7 to read
The irrepressibly charming duo of Emerson Knight and Riley Moon returns in another gripping mystery by #1 New York Times bestselling author Janet Evanovich. Buddhist monk Wayan Bagus lost his island of solitude and wants to get it back. The island was about two hundred miles northeast of Samoa. It had a mountain, beaches, a rain forest, and a volcano. And now its gone. Poof! Vanished without a trace. Brilliant and boyishly charming Emerson Knight likes nothing better than solving an unsolvable, improbable mystery. And finding a missing island is better than Christmas morning in the Knight household. When clues lead to a dark and sinister secret that is being guarded by the National Park Service, Emerson will need to assemble a crack team for help. Since a crack team isnt available, he enlists Riley Moon and his cousin Vernon. Riley Moon has a Harvard business degree and can shoot the eyes out of a grasshopper at fifty feet, but she cant figure out how to escape the vortex of Emerson Knights odd life. Vernon has been Emersons loyal and enthusiastic partner in crime since childhood. He now lives in an RV behind Emersons house. Together, this ragtag, mismatched trio will embark on a worldwide investigation that will expose a conspiracy one hundred years in the making.

This is the 2nd book in the Knight & Moon series. This series is really fun. Knight and Moon discover a diabolical plot involving harvesting a rare element from the earth. With their zany crew (Evanovich is known for her fun side characters), they try to stop the bad guys and save the world. There were several laugh out loud moments reading this book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Great read. This series is a little different than what Ms. Evanovich writes but it‘s an excellent series.

A monk with a missing island comes to Emmerson Knight for help. Riley, his unfortunate right hand gal, is thrown once again into another crazy mystery.
We have a monk, a millionaire genius, a perverted conspiracy theorist and the mother of all cover-ups. As Emmerson says, the game is afoot.
I was unsure about this series. I enjoyed book one, but didn't know if I would continue. Glad I did!

Not feeling this book. There were a couple of laugh out loud moments but pretty boring otherwise.

Literal lol on this. So random, so ridiculous, but also pretty frickin' entertaining. And right now, the world could use some innocent giggles. Bless these characters. #dangerousminds #knightandmoon #janetevanovich #phoefsutton #emersonknight #rileymoon

Book 2 of the Knight and Moon series. I really enjoyed this one. Emerson Knight is a rich, wacky, good guy and Riley Moon is down to earth and works for Knight. Together with Knight's crazy cousin and a Buddhist monk, they set out to find a missing/stolen island. I actually laughed out loud multiple times. A quick, light read with likable characters. 💙🤓

NovelGirl82 I didn't like the first one as much as the stephanie plum or Lizzie & Diesel series, but I'm going to definitely read the second one. 7y
TK421 I'll have to check this out. I really enjoy her Fox and O'Hare books. 7y
Read4life @NovelGirl82 @TK421 I definitely don't like it as much as Plum or Fox & O'Hare. But, its quirky and makes me laugh. 7y
monkeygirlsmama I enjoyed book one, so will need to check this one out. 7y

Alright, let's call this what it is...Riley Moon is a duller version of Stephanie Plum; Emerson Knight is an awkward mix between Joe Morelli and Ranger; cousin Vernon is a lamer sidekick than Lula; and worst of all, no Grandma Mazur! Throw in a few more ridiculous characters and you get a much less enjoyable series than Stephanie Plum. That said, I will still read every book in the series hoping for more Plum-like lol moments 😂.

Two of the books I'm planning to read this weekend during the #slaythatseriesreadathon

Tagged book is the second in the series and the other is the most recent Stone Barrington by Stuart Woods. Usually I read the Stone Barrington's the week they come out so I can't believe I'm this late in reading it.

In typical Evanovich fashion, I laughed hysterically and flew through this book in 2 days. I'm so glad we're finally, FINALLY, seeing some progression of a relationship between Riley and Emerson. I loved that Vernon played a big role in this book and the hijinks always make me laugh. A great, light hearted comedy!

These books are so easy to inhale. They're goofy but so light and easy that I started the audio in the car and finished it while making candles all in one day!! And it helped me get to one book ahead in my Goodreads challenge fiiiiinally!

thebookdiviner Janet's books are definitely easy to read! I go for her Stephanie Plum series if I need something lighthearted 7y
novellyyours @thebookdiviner I'm finally all caught up on Stephanie Plum so i started on some of her other series! 😊😊 7y
