The Library of Congress is so great guys!! We walked through the reading room with our spiffy new library IDs, and went through room after room of card catalogs. So crazy! I tried to take pictures, but the card catalog rooms are your basic “creepy basement lighting”, so I give you a pic of the gorgeous entry hall instead. 🙂

Found these in the back of a supply drawer in my office this morning. Showed them to some students who had no idea what they were... #librariansoflitsy

LibrarianRyan That's so sad. But I get it. In grad school they were talking about this card sorting device that you flipped over to drop all of the overdues out of. And there were 5 of us who were like WTH. No idea what he was talking about. Still have never seen one. 7y
