Winter Woes | Litsy

New England got hit by a snow & ice storm today. I took half a vacation day so I could make my hour-long commute home safely. Since I got home (unscathed! 🙌🏻), I‘ve been sitting in a comfy chair, curled up with my heating pad, reading.

The omniscient internet gods knew, of course, & have sent me targeted ads. I‘m usually not drawn in so easily, but goddamn it if I don‘t want a sloth heating pad! Or a bunny? All that‘s left to do is choose...

KrystleTheBookSlayer 😂 I try to be as fashionable as possible in the winter, but it's hard. Sometimes temps get down to -20 to -40, plus the wind chill is even worse. While walking my dog, I've basically wrapped my entire face with a scarf before. Fortunately we haven't gotten that chilly yet this year. 6y

Craftylikefox Ha! I immediately think of it like an eye patch but for your nose. I just cover my face with a big scarf and it keeps my neck warm too! 6y

monalyisha @Jilly6183 That‘s a fantastic gag gift! Maybe I should get them for my fam. Joke gifts are pretty popular with them. Especially with my stepdad. He likes to do things like wrap bananas & then stand there smiling doofily while we open them. 🤦‍♀️😆 6y

Jilly6183 @monalyisha 😂😂 The same for my husband's family. One year he bought really cheesy Christmas CDs from the bargain bin and hid gift cards inside. It was fun to see everyone squirm and pretend to like their terrible CDs before they realized there was something else inside lol 6y

ravenlee Is this not what a balaclava is for? I mean, if it‘s cold enough to need this, wouldn‘t the rest of your face/ears/head/neck need cover, too? 6y
