Indiana Jones: The Ultimate Guide | James Luceno
6 posts | 1 read
Get up close and personal with movie legend Indiana Jones, the world's favourite whip-wielding archaeologist! Join Harrison Ford as rogue Indiana Jones on a death defying adventure in this guide to all four of his swashbuckling movies. Meet the man under the fedora, explore his journey from childhood to adulthood and come face-to-face with his family, friends and deadly foes. Take an in-depth look at all Indy's movies: from The Temple of Doom and Raiders of the Lost Ark to The Last Crusade and the much anticipated fourth film Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Go on your own intrepid adventure: from the Shakara Stones to the Arc of the Covenant, and explore favourite locations and ancient ruins with the pull out maps. Then read extracts from Indiana's private journal. Mind-blowing pictures and behind-the-scenes shots will make you feel like you're there. It's a thrill a minute, larger-than-life journey into Indiana's world!

Just tried to watch Indiana Jones and the Temple of doom. My god it was horrible. The plot was all over the place.

ravenlee I remember watching it for the first time in early college, thinking it was the first movie. My mom sighed and said, “if this had been the first movie there would never have been any others.” When I bought the dvd box set a couple years later I watched them all with the hubby, then we threw away the Temple dvd and kept the other two. 4y
thebacklistbook Thanks for that! I think I have the required gumption to watch the third one now. 4y

1. Practical Magic was a real disappointment.
2. If I have to choose, sweet! 🍫
3. Bob and Betty; Isabel and David.
4. My brother and I wore out the tapes of the Back To The Future and Indiana Jones movies.
5. London 🇬🇧

JenlovesJT47 Great choices!! 💚 6y
vivastory I almost picked flash too 😂 6y
cobwebmoth Aw, I like Flash. But the Wally West version, not Barry Allen.(Mostly because I adored the JLU cartoon.) 6y

GarthRanzz Roland is a great choice for hero! I nearly went with Randall Flagg as my villain. 6y
CSeydel Oh how did I forget Indy?? I had the biggest crush on him from about 1986 through 1991. I might have to go back and edit my list. 6y
julesG Wait! How do you know my choices? 💕 6y
GrilledCheeseSamurai @GarthRanzz Flagg would have been an awesome choice. I almost picked Freddy Krueger. 😁 It had to be Vader though. 👌 6y
Laura317 Flash is overrated!! 😂😂 I would agree, but my 14 yo daughter would not. She has a major crush on Barry Allen. 6y
GrilledCheeseSamurai @Laura317 @vivastory @cobwebmoth I've just never ever been into the Flash at all. Even as a kid I thought he was lame. 🤔 I wanna like him...apparently his comic right now is awesome! I just can't bring myself to do it. 😥 6y
GrilledCheeseSamurai @CSeydel "Throw me the idol I throw you the whip!" 6y
GrilledCheeseSamurai @julesG Great minds think alike. 🙃 6y
Txdmarie Gunslinger is a solid choice!!!! 6y

Anyone have any suggestions for Indiana Jones read a likes?!

As I was typing this in, a bunch of Indiana Jones books popped up (which I didn‘t know existed), are those worth the read?

I tried googling and all that came up was Dan Brown books, which I don‘t really want to read...

Redwritinghood Nothing comes to mind, but it makes me think of that tv show The Librarians. 6y
Laughterhp @Redwritinghood Now that you say that, I agree. I watched I think, the first season of that show. 6y
Laura317 I always thought the Allan Quatermain series sounded good. One was made into a movie - King Solomon‘s Mine. A lot of these are free on public domain. 6y
