I read the Susan Calvin Stories:

Liar
Little Lost Robot
Escape!
Evidence
The Evitable Conflict

From having read the stories many years ago, Susan Calvin was the most memorable of the characters in the I, Robot collection and Lian and The Evitable Conflict were the most memorable stories in that they have stuck all this time, though some of the others I remembered while reading them..

@RamsFan1963

I read the Powell and Donovan stories:
Runaround
Reason
Catch That Rabbit

Not as impressed by these stories as I was as a teenager, but still entertaining.

RamsFan1963 They work as technology mysteries, but as characters Donovan & Powell are pretty one dimensional 5mo

Have read “Robbie“ from this collection as part of the #ClassicLSFBC group read of “I, Robot“.

It's an unfortunate fact of life that to tell a story you need people acting in a society, because Asimov isn't interested in that, he's interested in the technology and puzzles. Accept that that's what's on offer and sit back and enjoy it because he's very good at what he does.

I'm rubbish at remembering individual short stories, so allow me to present 3 of my favourite short story collections...

1) The Complete Robot (Asimov)
2) The Thirteen Problems (Christie)
3) Someone who will love you in all your damaged glory (Bob-Waksberg)

Thanks for the tag @The_Penniless_Author

dabbe Collections most definitely work--more stories to read that way! Thanks for sharing. 💚💙💚 8mo

This are my SF&F #mountTBR (or TBReRead) shelves!

Sorry I‘ve missed a couple of weeks with prompts for our #MountTBRchallenge. It‘s been a bit crazy.

Anyhoo, post a photo of (part of) your #MountTBR, if possible!

And how did you manage the first 2 months? I have to admit to reading/listening to a couple of books that I only recently acquired, so my numbers are a bit lower this month:

February: 4 TBRs, 7 total.
YTD: 7/40 10 total

DivaDiane I‘m working on my 8th, 9th and 10th TBR Books. 1 is Audio. And the oldest book on the pictured book case is probably the one tagged. (edited) 7y
alisiakae My YTD for #MountTBR is 7/24, if I keep this up, I may actually move up from Mt Blanc to Mt Vancouver! ⛰ ⛰ ⛰ 7y
DivaDiane @4thhouseontheleft That‘s awesome!! 7y

#artificialintelligence I have sweet memories of Robbie, Susan the robopsychologist, Lije Bailey, and others. Laws of robotics merge with emotions. #aprilbookshowers

Was out for the day today and visited a little second hand book stall down on the quay, and picked up a few books. First up, Asimov's The Complete Robot. Never read any Asimov before, but having read his charming introduction and the first couple of stories, I think I'm going to be a fan.

MrBook I hope you enjoy it! Adored his writing when I read it as a child 😊. 8y
