Short story of WWI soldiers on Christmas Eve. The power of music helps create a truce with the German soldiers for the Christmas holiday. Excellent narration and production. #MountTBR

An Audible holiday collection of short stories: a company replies to children‘s letters to Santa, a Charles Dickens story with a ghost, and quirky comedy songs. #MountTBR

I wanted to like this more than I did. I found the beginning very slow and never came to connect with or care about any of the characters. I doubt I‘ll continue with the series since I sped the audio up to 1.5 x to be done with it faster. Good news, though, I‘ve met my #MountTBR goal of 75 books!! 🎉🎉🥳🥳

rwmg I really like this series but I can't imagine trying to take them in as an audiobook 2d

Initially, I wasn‘t super excited about this book. David has a breakdown one morning at work as he‘s tired of working non-stop for a high-end law firm. He impulsively leaves his fancy job and takes up with a small firm of two attorneys who have some seriously questionable ethics in their practice. The legal case involves big pharma and their questionable drug. As the story progressed, I really liked David and was rooting for him. #MountTBR

My #DecemberTBR is predominately ARCs. I also have a couple of in progress books I really want to finish (one I‘ll finish tonight) and my last book for my #MountTBR goal. This is, as usual, ridiculously unrealistic, but I‘m going to give it my best effort because I have a plan for 2020 and I‘d like a clean slate to start the new year. 🥳

Oh, and not pictured is my annual reread/listen of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.

TiredLibrarian I have an ARC of American Dirt too, and have heard people raving about it. 5d
DGRachel @TiredLibrarian I must have entered and won a giveaway for it, but I do not remember doing so. Clearly, I have a problem. 😆 5d
Lcsmcat We read the Dickens every year too. 🙂 5d

Well-ReadNeck American Dirt is AMAZING!!!! 5d
DGRachel @Well-ReadNeck I‘ve seen a lot of hype for it. I‘m just worried I‘ll be the outlier because it‘s definitely outside my genre comfort zone. 🤞🏻 5d

#NovemberWrapUp

So thankful for audiobooks - without them, I‘d have accomplished next to nothing. With them, I had a great month, of 13 books, with 11 from my pre-2019 TBR. Now, I only have one more book to go to reach my #MountTBR goal.

Favorite for the month was the tagged book, which is also one of my favorites of the entire year.

sprainedbrain Amen to that statement on audiobooks! 🙌🏻 5d
Kimzey This sounds great! And I agree about audiobooks. I get much more reading in that way! 4d

I have big plans for December. I want to get through my NetGalley queue and read the two physical ARCs currently in my possession, because I want a clean slate for 2020. I also need just one more book for my #MountTBR goal and I‘m going to give that honor to Medicus. Maybe. 😂
So, to meet those goals, I need to read all of the above this week. 🤞🏻

Cinfhen I have 11 unread ARCs / none are “overdue “ but I‘d like to knockout half by Dec 31🤞🏽🤞🏽 6d
DGRachel I have four that have already been published, ten total on NetGalley, plus one physical ARC that I won in a giveaway I don‘t remember entering, and one from LibraryThing that should arrive any day now. Good luck with your list @Cinfhen. 6d
Cinfhen Thanks😘I‘m sooooooo not motivated to pick up ANY of my ARCs 😬 5d
DGRachel @Cinfhen I understand that. I no longer have interest in reading probably half of mine. 🤦🏻‍♀️ But, I just keep reminding myself of my 2020 plan and how nice it would be to have a clean slate. 5d
