This is such a great series. This one contains a novela Magic Gifts, which is about Kate at the same timeline of Andrea's story in the main book,,I love how the author makes us see same conversations but from different views. The genre is Urban Fantasy #NSR221 @Nessavamusic

Not my favorite in the Kate Daniels world, but it is nice to get a different perspective. I like Andrea well enough, but a full novel of her POV was a bit much. The plot of the novel and novella were both good, but I disliked how they ran parallel because I felt like I kept missing something from one to the other. Glad I finally read this one, now back to Kate.

Showing up early to doctor‘s appointment and getting time to start a new book: +. Having the waiting room tv on so loud I couldn‘t read: -. Now I have a sick headache and just want dinner and bed. But I‘m 30 pages in!

Andrea and Raphael are up against an Egyptian god and killer snake shifters. This also includes a novella called "Magic Gifts" in which Kate and Curran are attempting to save a child from a necklace that's trying to choke him.

I love Ilona Andrews‘s Kate Daniels series. This quote came from book 5.5, a novella that tells Andrea‘s (Kate‘s BFF) story. I like the imagery used in this #quote.

All the Kate Daniel books are good. In this one, we get to know Andrea better and what drives her.

I like that this book both fills in some time between two books and flushes out Andrea‘s character. We learn more about her background and more about what beastkin are. It‘s two stories in one, which is also fun. Please do meet the latest addition to our family, his name is Castle and he is learning that books aren‘t to be chewed on. Ever.

I'm trying my best to go in order for this series. I met the authors a few weeks ago and I have been hooked on this series ever since! It's worse than a sweet tooth. :) Definitely give the Kate Daniels series a try.

Another novella in the Kate Daniels universe, about 9th in reading order but I think numerically it'd be about 5.5. Another winner for me. We get to see the fallout for Andrea after her key decision in an earlier book, and she starts to address her ambivalent status wrt the pack. Plus we get a mystery to solve! My copy includes 'Magic Gifts' which tells a partially overlapping story from Kate's viewpoint. V nicely done!

About to start this book from the Kate Daniels series.

As much as I love Kate and our main storyline, it was a lot of fun to dig fungi Andrea's past and how she got to where she is. I really like these novellas as much as the regular books.

When the series is so good you pick up the side novels too. 😍

Love reading this book about the gun slinging Andrea. Her backstory is so sad, but you see the strong woman she has grown to be in the Magic series world.
