LA_MeadI tend to like paperback better because they are more purse-friendly.6y
corycatelynI like either but prefer to buy paperback because it's cheaper and takes up less room 😂6y
megnewsI prefer paperback but don‘t mind hardcover.6y

AimeesueEither, unless it's a book I want to keep forever and then I'll get a HC because they tend to hold together longer and endure multiple readings better.6y
CouronneDhiverHardcover - sturdy, collectable, stays open more easily, holds up perfectly well in my purse, etc. A simple luxury.6y
FoxyfictionistaPaperback because its cheaper and I buy a lot of books. I'll buy a hardback if it's a beautiful book.6y
LaughterhpPaperback - because it‘s cheaper and less heavy to carry around!6y
AmiablePaperback. I commute two hours a day in the train and paperbacks are easier to carry and lighter in my backpack.6y
KayePaperback. I like the size and they weigh less. I like the bendable covers. I never keep books when I complete them so no reason to buy hardbacks. They‘d probably be better if I collected them to keep. Also the dust jackets are in the way so I always take them off.6y
Gaylagal2Paperback, if it's available. They're just easier to hold. But sometimes I'm impatient and either get the Kindle version or just buy the hardcover 🤓6y
BurghbookaddictPaperbacks on easier on my little hands. 👐🏼6y
Jemgirl2014Kindle app because I need to save space. I also like the instant gratification that having a book download will give me. I plan to give away most of my physical books and save the ones that are most precious to me. 🙂6y
VelvetfurPaperbacks 4eva 😅 Hardbacks are too big and heavy to carry around with me, and I only make an exception if it's a beautiful collector's edition and I really need it 😊6y
NessavamusicKindle, but when reading actual books paperback6y
GingerAnticsIt depends on the book. For research I prefer hardcover because I know I'm going to be in and out of the book a hundred times and paperbacks often just can't stand up to that. For something I know I'm going to read once to take back to HPB paperback is cool. Ebooks are great for both uses depending on the situation. Being able to search notes it a great when it's time to write a paper.6y
Birdsong28Paperback. Especially when it's fiction, I just think you can read it quicker as it's lighter and easier to hold. I do like my non-fiction in hardback as I think it gives it more prominence (but thats just me being weird 😂😂😂) 📚📖6y
GingerAntics@Birdsong28 I like my nonfiction in hardback for that reason as well (at least partly - grad school gave me another reason).6y
SW-TI think hardcovers look better and they‘re more durable. However, paperbacks are cheaper and more portable. I try to keep series together so whatever format the first book is in, I buy the rest of the series in the same format.(edited) 6y
UCLAosoPaperbacks! Don‘t hurt my wrist to hold while reading or weigh down my purse (important when you walk to the train station:-)6y
BooknerdsLifeThis is a tough one!!! 🙈 I love them both but prefer reading from paperback. I collect my favorite books (mostly classics) in hardcover cause they are gorgeous and more durable for a reread 😍🙌6y
SamplergalPaperbacks, but starting to prefer kindle. I can‘t read on my iPad because of glare while outside. Buts that‘s more info than you wanted! 😂😂😂😂6y
Birdsong28Paperback preferred but if I can get a good deal on a hardback then I will go for the hardback. 📚📖6y
