I know I am super far behind, but I find the census and shear number of Israelites fascinating.
It is interesting that almost all of the people counted were new people. What wonders God can give.

#Haunted Day 21: So we are easing into in-person on-campus work (all my classes are still virtual tho), but there is flexibility as I only come to the office around 2 or 3 times a week - as such, I was #InCostume - wearing a blazer with mah husband‘s Lakers cap because hiphop hooray.

This is exactly what's missing from textbooks. Oh yeah, you get little blurbs about Descartes and Pascal but this is the whole story. We enforce the study of the corpus without any recognition that mathematics is an epic human achievement.
It gets pretty advanced. What we teach in high school was understood by the 18th century so maybe half the book is kinda wasted.
A good read if your mathematically inclined. Indespensible if you teach the stuff.

What camp are you in and why? #hardcover #paperback #survey

LA_Mead I tend to like paperback better because they are more purse-friendly. 5y
corycatelyn I like either but prefer to buy paperback because it's cheaper and takes up less room 😂 5y
megnews I prefer paperback but don‘t mind hardcover. 5y

Aimeesue Either, unless it's a book I want to keep forever and then I'll get a HC because they tend to hold together longer and endure multiple readings better. 5y
CouronneDhiver Hardcover - sturdy, collectable, stays open more easily, holds up perfectly well in my purse, etc. A simple luxury. 5y
Foxyfictionista Paperback because its cheaper and I buy a lot of books. I'll buy a hardback if it's a beautiful book. 5y
Laughterhp Paperback - because it‘s cheaper and less heavy to carry around! 5y
Amiable Paperback. I commute two hours a day in the train and paperbacks are easier to carry and lighter in my backpack. 5y
TrishB Sometimes I can‘t wait for the paperback! 5y
Kaye Paperback. I like the size and they weigh less. I like the bendable covers. I never keep books when I complete them so no reason to buy hardbacks. They‘d probably be better if I collected them to keep. Also the dust jackets are in the way so I always take them off. 5y
Gaylagal2 Paperback, if it's available. They're just easier to hold. But sometimes I'm impatient and either get the Kindle version or just buy the hardcover 🤓 5y
HannaPolkadots Paperback 5y
Burghbookaddict Paperbacks on easier on my little hands. 👐🏼 5y
Jemgirl2014 Kindle app because I need to save space. I also like the instant gratification that having a book download will give me. I plan to give away most of my physical books and save the ones that are most precious to me. 🙂 5y
Pamwurtzler Kindle books! 5y
Velvetfur Paperbacks 4eva 😅 Hardbacks are too big and heavy to carry around with me, and I only make an exception if it's a beautiful collector's edition and I really need it 😊 5y
Nessavamusic Kindle, but when reading actual books paperback 5y
JillPill Paperback! 5y
GingerAntics It depends on the book. For research I prefer hardcover because I know I'm going to be in and out of the book a hundred times and paperbacks often just can't stand up to that. For something I know I'm going to read once to take back to HPB paperback is cool. Ebooks are great for both uses depending on the situation. Being able to search notes it a great when it's time to write a paper. 5y
Birdsong28 Paperback. Especially when it's fiction, I just think you can read it quicker as it's lighter and easier to hold. I do like my non-fiction in hardback as I think it gives it more prominence (but thats just me being weird 😂😂😂) 📚📖 5y
Melissa_J Trade paperbacks are my preference, but I also love hardcovers since they look better on my shelves. I hate mass market paperbacks though. 5y
Jee_HookedOnBookz Used to be paperback. Switched to hardcover recently because my baby girl loves to get her hands on my books😏 5y
Melissa_J @TrishB me too! I love trade paperbacks but sometimes you just can‘t wait for it. 5y
Lreads Paperback. Or ebook. Both are easier to hold and carry around. Also cheaper than hard cover. 5y
TheLibrarian Hardback - they don‘t bend like paperbacks (I‘m a sucker for pristine books). 5y
LapReader Paperback 5y
zzz Paperback😊 lighter to hold 5y
MotionChickness Hardback for the bookshelf appeal.. Paperback for reading... So much more comfortable in the hands and usually lighter lol. 5y
GingerAntics @Jobe Half Price Books 5y
GingerAntics @Birdsong28 I like my nonfiction in hardback for that reason as well (at least partly - grad school gave me another reason). 5y
SW-T I think hardcovers look better and they‘re more durable. However, paperbacks are cheaper and more portable. I try to keep series together so whatever format the first book is in, I buy the rest of the series in the same format. (edited) 5y
UCLAoso Paperbacks! Don‘t hurt my wrist to hold while reading or weigh down my purse (important when you walk to the train station:-) 5y
BooknerdsLife This is a tough one!!! 🙈 I love them both but prefer reading from paperback. I collect my favorite books (mostly classics) in hardcover cause they are gorgeous and more durable for a reread 😍🙌 5y

Hi Litsy fam! For those who are parents, would you please help me out and take this survey? https://byui.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5coUFgh0wncHV9r It is for a parent education/child guidance class. It would help me out a lot and I would greatly appreciate it. Only the teacher and I will see the responses.

1. Print! 📖
2. Couch or bed. With a blanket and a cat to snuggle
3. Coffee or tea. I like all snacks. I am a snack fiend. But I guess popcorn.
4. Multiple across multiple formats. One physical and one audio/digital for easy transportation.
5. Day. I don‘t function well at night, I‘m very much more of a morning person.
