Romancing the Werewolf (Supernatural Society #2)
Romancing the Werewolf (Supernatural Society #2) | Gail Carriger
18 posts | 26 read | 14 to read
Werewolf in trouble...
Biffy, newly minted Alpha of the London Pack, is not having a good Christmas. His Beta abandoned him, his werewolves object to his curtain choices, and someone keeps leaving babies on his doorstep.
Professor Randolph Lyall returns home to London after twenty years abroad, afraid of what he might find. With his pack in chaos and his Alpha in crisis, it will take all his Beta efficiency to set everything to rights. Perhaps, in the process, he may even determine how to mend his own heart.
New York Times bestselling author Gail Carriger presents a charming gay love story set in her popular steampunk Parasolverse. Featuring the long-awaited reunion between everyones favorite quietly capable Beta and the werewolf Alpha dandy who let him slip away. This sweet romance is full of unexpected babysitting, holiday decorations, and no small amount of pining.
Delicate Sensibilities?
Contains men who love other men and have waited decades to do so.
Wait, where does this one fit?
The Supernatural Society novellas stand alone and may be read in any order. But if youre a stickler, this story chronologically follows Imprudence and ties specifically to events in Timeless. Look for surprise appearances from popular side characters and the occasional strategic application of italics.

I really enjoyed this homecoming story for Professor Lyall, such an underestimated but wonderful character.

And the pack with a baby dropped off on their doorstep... hilarious!

TheSpineView Way to go! 😊 5mo
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @TheSpineView It was a short story set in between books, so a quick and fun read. 5mo

Next up in the #ParasolProtectorate read along. We‘re getting close to the homestretch, not much left before Reticence is released.

Eyelit I just downloaded this from overdrive. I liked Romancing the Inventor 😁 7mo

A cute novella about Biffy and Professor Lyall and the new pack dynamics.

A sweet and fun novella, with my favourite romantic trope of all time - mutual pining! I really liked how Gail showed us how the London pack was settling in and how Biffy was becoming used to being Alpha of the pack. Definitely read it if you‘ve read the other books in the series!

Read this #parasolverse novella while traveling for the holidays. It‘s delightful to get an #lgbt romance featuring two favorite side characters in this universe, plus it‘s holiday-themed!

Also check out the NYPL pouch that perfectly fits my Kindle Fire. I‘m still pretty surprised (but delighted!) to find myself liking paranormal romance #romantsy 🐺💕🐺

charl08 Love the pouch. Want one! 13mo
iread2much How fun! I love this series but haven‘t tried the novellas yet. I am not a fan of “sexy times” as my friend who loves romances likes to tease me, and I worry it will be mostly sex and no plot... 13mo
emtobiasz @iread2much I mean, most of the plot revolves around the will-they-won‘t-they, but beyond admiring how nice someone‘s butt looks in those pants, there aren‘t a lot of details described. I can‘t speak for the other novellas, though. 13mo
iread2much @emtobiasz that is good to know! Thank you. I appreciate a bit of descriptive fun, but I‘m all about plot and character development for reading 13mo

I have been ‘shipping Lyall & Biffy since way back in the days of The Parasol Protectorate. This novella is all I hoped for minus the handwringing. Gentlemen, divest yourselves of ALL the clothing and HAVE AT IT!! (Sincerely, a voyeuristic fan.)

Biff and Lyall were my favorite werewolf couple and I am so glad to finally learn what happens to them. Told in Carriger‘s usual fun, breezy, laugh out loud style, this book was perfect for reminding me what makes reading fun. #25infive

Rhys Ford has announced a werewolf series and I think fans of Gail Carriger‘s work might be interested. Ford‘s other supernatural/fantasy work is good so I have high hopes for this new series. https://t.co/4ttYAdDpfc

Latest in Gail Carriger's Parasolverse. Biffy is now in charge of London Werewolves and Professor Lyall is back.
Quick read that resolves lose ends from main series.
