Are you a ghost story lover? I know I am. And it‘s a dark, rainy day here in Northeast Alabama. It‘s a perfect weather to cuddle under a blanket and read one. So here are a few of my favorites. Now tell me yours in the comments.

I‘m continuing my spooky girl summer with Little Girls by Ronald Malfi. Malfi came highly recommended, so I figured it was time to give his work a try.

I really enjoyed this. It was very much a gothic slow burn in the beginning but about halfway through the tension breaks and the pace picked up at a break neck speed.

Overall, I really enjoyed my time reading it. And I definitely plan to read more of Malfi‘s work later on.

I‘ve got to stop buying books. I‘ve said that in pretty much all of my last book hauls. But yet I‘ve bought more books, and now I‘m going to tell on myself to the entire internet. In my defense, this is a small book haul.

I liked this book well enough to keep reading it and wanting to know the end. But there really isn't an ending. Also there were a few writing errors that while small were annoying to me. Also on a side note...her 10 year old started her period...why? It didn't add anything to the further the story line and was really odd to just throw in there. So yes I enjoyed it but I wanted so much more!

Starting my March book a couple days early.
March read: A book with "Lady" "Woman" or "Girl" in the title. This is the only one on my shelf with one of those in the title.
Little Girls by Ronald Malfi

AkashaVampie Any time I see that tag line... all I can think about is the movie The Queen Of The Damned. 3y

This book is creepy! When Laurie‘s father dies, she has to return to her childhood home. But the little girl next door looks a little too familiar - just like a little girl that Laurie watched die.

This was a reread. I had forgotten some of the twists and really enjoyed watching it unfold. There's a nice, creepy kid vibe going on along with a little mystery. It's a fun, spoopy read without being scary. The narrator is also very enjoyable.

Beholderess Ooooh, little ghost girls. Classic 5y

As a horror/ mystery fan I had heard that if I wanted to be scared this was the book to read. That was not the case. The story itself was somewhat interesting, but it was not something that creeped me out. The story definitely took a few turns, but it was left open ended which drives me crazy. Worth a read if you I‘d you are bored, but not something I would run out and purchase.
