My big achievement for the #NovelNovember readathon was finally finishing this 960-page chunkster. The Malazan Book of the Fallen is an incredibly rich and complex series, and I've enjoyed every minute of reading the first 7 books so far, but it's such a commitment!

I‘m rereading the main 10. I just acquired the first edition of the 10 for my birthday and decided to read them again. … I haven‘t been active here for a while we moved from Cali. To Hawaii to Washington state. Within 4 yrs. We are settled here now and loving it 😊. I‘m going to try to get back to it here as I loved being active before

Completed does anyone ever wonder about the pure genius behind these stories that authors write and we the lucky ones read? Can you imagine not reading? Just think if you didn‘t read what you would be missing this storyline is amazing the amount of intersecting characters life‘s and how they affect each other is astonishing and makes you want to stay in the world created by the author 😋

Okay so my life is not perfect but I can handle that I can‘t really complain though because I know others have it far worse. My current struggle is this culture course I‘m in. I don‘t know why I‘m so blocked about it. It‘s not hard you just read the material and do the papers or answer the questions. But for whatever reason I feel stuck 😕 #bitmojimondays

heylaurenmack You can do this. 7y
mrozzz Take it from the bottom right Bitmoji. You can do it! You got this!! 7y
Ddzmini Thank you @heyLM and @mrozzz I‘ve just had quite a bit happen during this class so I feel like I‘m lagging and I need to get on the ball 😖😝😋 7y

Mehso-so

This book is so-so, only by the standard Erikson has set for himself. The convergence seems stretched and ultimately flat by the time it actually happens (Those who have read it will likely know what event I'm referring to).
All-in-all, another great book.

The Malazan books are getting longer and longer. And better and better. I think this is onw of my favorite epic fantasy series now and I already look forward to re-read them in a couple of years and notice all the little details and foreshadowings 😊

mahasoor Oh man, Malazan has ruined me to all other epic fantasy. There is so much detail and subtext and intrigue! I'm gearing up to do a reread of it and I'm stoked to find bits I missed before. 7y

This massive book may take me a while. It's also super awkward to hold when I'm reading. And heavy. 😳
