A lovely story about empathy as it relates to hunting

This girl is not happy with the Greggs family habit of hunting so when they kill a young deer she puts her magic finger on them, causing some consequences that teach the Greggs to treat the animals better. This is a very nice little story, to be read without problems in just one seating.

Having great fun introducing belle to the world of Roald Dahl , slowly making our way through the collection and tonight was the magic finger. She hates any sort of animal cruelty so did cover her eyes when we learnt of the Greggs shooting habits but was pleased with the lessons learned in the end.
We also loved the added extras about Roald Dahl at the end of the book especially reading his school report! 😍 A lovely bonus
