#AudiblePlus I thought this was going to be NF essays about women and aging, but it‘s fictionalized vignettes of many women, all ages who are either in one of two camps...total panic over aging or aging gracefully. It‘s very repetitive and not a lot of substance. It was an ok listening experience, I like Justine Bateman and her message to love the skin you‘re in was worthwhile, but I‘m glad this was a #freebie. I‘ll admit the book dragged in places and the monotone quality of the narrator was tiring, and yet I was completely mesmerized by this story. A fascinating look at the mind of a chess prodigy and the sexism women faced in the 50‘s & 60‘s. Excited to watch the Netflix series.
