Nothing beats reading a spooky book during a thunderstorm! 😱😨⛈ Though, to be fair...this book isn't as spooky as I remember! 😂

Part two of last night's double feature: The Babysitter Killer Queen.
This one is the sequel to The Babysitter, set two years later. It wasn't as fun as the first one (a little too similar perhaps) but still a solidly funny & gory film once you get past the opening.
Shocktober film # 11

Two fun, quick, and suspenseful reads from RL Stine! Somehow I missed these growing up even though I was totally obsessed with Goosebumps!
+30 points for team subject reads (thriller)
+1 point for participation

This was fun! Not as good as the first, but still enjoyable enough to keep me reading! Would continue on with book 3! I didn't guess the bad guy either! 🤷🏻♀️
Starting this because...
1.) It's almost spooky season
*AnD*
2.) Nostalgia
~not in the litsy book database, so tagged book 2~
“Are you into Aerosmith?”, she asked, making a face as she stared at his red-and-black T-shirt.................................”You hate heavy metal, huh?”. “Well..I used to like Def Leppard a little.”
Were those bands really considered heavy metal? 🤔

Finished the final book out of my RL Stine stack. I definitely read all of these as a kid, but I only remembered bits and pieces. There are problems with the books of course- the female characters are constantly apologizing for things they do or say, and I don't think any of the books passed the Bechdel test. But if you go into them knowing that that's the case, they are very entertaining. It was a fun October experience!
Reading while I wait for trick or treaters 🎃🎃
It's the start of a new school year, and since I moved classrooms I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to clean out my classroom library. Here are a few R.L. Stine books I tried to bring back into popularity! I loved Fear Street when I was younger! Going to bring home my hundreds of books and try to garage sale them. Sad day. Thanks to @JaimitaPR for the help and the photo cred!
