I love a second chance romance but this one was just ok for me. I struggled a lot with the mystical part of the story. There was a lot of focus on this magical element but not enough focus on the backstory of Penelope and Noah. Add to the mix a sick child, too many side stories, and an abrupt ending and I was left feeling like it was all just too much.
