It‘s been a while since I listened to the first one and it took me a while to transition from listening to reading the series but once I started reading the rest of it I couldn‘t stop! It is a great sequel and it deals with mental health and trauma on top of a myriad of ghosts and other paranormal things.

Book 8 in O.W.L.s readathon prompt was poison (mix of ingredients)=read a sequel book. I have to say that 2nd book in this trilogy is better. I can't say much without spoil the story but you will see more suspense, mystery and drama. Still a YA story with cheese actions sometimes but it is more interesting specially after the first 100 pages. It is a short book 290 pages. I need 3rd book in my life but I need to finish this readathon first 3.4⭐️

So, this book almost feels like it was written by an entirely different person! So much better overall than The Name Of The Star. And that ending cliffhanger killed me!

Could not resist this as us Geordies (from Newcastle upon Tyne, North East England) are famous for going out without our coats, even when it‘s freezing.

Give me a good book and I‘ll try!

It took a bit to get into this book, it had a slow start. But once I started, I couldn't put it down. I finished it right before midnight, so it barely missed being in the #24in48

I am so into this trilogy. This second book was very different then the first, and did a lot of set up for the third (as second books so often do). But I like the characters and their choices are interesting and complex.

Another nice thriller and slightly horror story that I truly love🔪🔪

A little heartbroken... I didn't want the book to end yet... I do home Maureen Johnson changes her mind and makes more that 4 books and the prequel to this series. It is just so addictive.

Back to the Shades of London... the adventure is always waiting.

Enjoyed this one just as much as the first in the series.

The second installment of the Shades of London series. Lots of drama, lots of internal conflict, lots of laughs! I love this series.
