Liked that their survival pack included books. Now I can‘t wait for the last one to come out. I hope it ties things up because otherwise I‘m going to be disappointed…

This book was about a girl named Emilie, who is possessed by the evil firelight. In order to save Emilie, her brother and a group of space warriors must battle the evil firelight. The theme of this book is resilience because the characters seem to never give up when it gets rough. If you like fantasy books, this would be a fantastic pick for you. I rate this a 6.5 out of 10 because although it was interesting I feel like the other books were better

While i did like the book, i found it quite bland. I wish they would have looked more into Emily's mindset like firelight did, all in all i would probably read it once for book #9.

i just finished reading this comic, action, and jaw dropping book about a crew that is always on a mission. the book is based on an amulet that can give you powers. in the first book it tells you how the father dies. really sad.

2105174@school.ecsd.net Sorry for the picture quality. 😬 3y

I really enjoyed the book and the continued story and events takes place after the Amulet Firelight (book 7). The book is filled with clues and hints of whats to come in the future and small flashbacks of things that have happened in the past from different characters.

Insomnia reading. This felt like a kitchen sink book.

My plan for the evening. (These, plus watch the new episode of Star Trek.)
I have read all but vol. 8 before, but it was a couple of years ago and I could use a refresher.
I also really hope Kazu Kibuishi finishes the final volume soon. Or at least announces a tentative publication date. 😺

Lauram I just bought book 1 for my nephew. I hope he likes it! 5y
Leniverse @Lauram My whole family loves it. But my youngest finds it a bit upsetting in places. He was 7 when he first read it and we skipped the prologue, because it features the rather dramatic death of a parent. So, I don‘t know how old, or how sensitive, your nephew is, but slight PG for bereavement. 5y

I remember buying the first in this series for my ten year old daughter.
She just came back from college (aged twenty) with this in her backpack, book eight.
It's as good as ever, I just ripped through it. The other seven are still in her bedroom, might have to re-read them all.

saresmoore My (almost 10yo) daughter absolutely loves this series! They are something special, to be sure. 5y

Definitely worth the wait. We can‘t keep these books in the library. No sooner does one come in, then it goes right back out. It‘s easy to understand why too—Kibuishi writes a layered story about family, belonging, acceptance, trust, knowing who you are & being true to yourself, elves, danger & more all wrapped up in a grand adventure. The art is, as always, brilliant & intricate & beautiful. A great MG read. One more to go! Highly recommended.

Supernova is the eighth book in the amazing Amulet series by Kazu Kibuishi. Just like the other books in the series, #8 was fast-paced and interesting, the artwork is incredible, and I just love the characters!

Maya‘s weekend reading plans! It‘s a rainy day here, so we‘re lounging after school, with nothing on the agenda except a pile of books and later, Halloween movies.

The 🦄 Pusheen teapot gives me all the feels. 😍😍
