Day 13 - #Fire #RobertFrost #PoetryMatters
“Fire And Ice”
“Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I‘ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.”
This poem reminded me of A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R. R. Martin.

“Fire and Ice" is one of Robert Frost's most popular poems. It was published in December 1920 in Harper's Magazine and in 1923 in his Pulitzer Prize−winning book New Hampshire. It discusses the end of the world, likening the elemental force of fire with the emotion of desire, and ice with hate.
