I love this series and this was definitely a highlight so far in this series. #SeriesLove2023 @TheSpineview Couldn‘t put this one down and read it very intensively.
Gabriel Allon is fighting to try and prevent a Russian Oligarch selling ammunitions to Al Qaeda via an African country, before they are used in a massive terrorist attack. Plenty of subterfuge in this one. Can‘t wait to read the next one.

Aiming to read a Gabriel Allon book every weekend during February, this weekend it is Moscow Rules, book 8 in this wonderful series by Daniel Silva. #SeriesLove2023 @TheSpineview

8 in the series, with number 9 below. The stakes are high in this thriller as Gabriel Allon is after arms dealers that have the most lethal weaponry that may be headed toward terrorist hands. There are always plot twists, intense action & intrigue in Silva‘s titles. From the French Riviera to Moscow , so many well done characters & double dealings keep you turning the pages.Silva just released the 21st book in the series , I have a long way to go!

#julyjourneys With Gabriel Allon being an art restoration expert & spy , he travels all over the world .Reading the tagged book , there are some scenes in #Rome , The Messenger, a previous book in the series spends a lot of time in The Eternal City .
The author writes some of the best contemporary post- Cold War spy fiction. He is able to capture the essential tension between the ambiguity and uncertainty inherent in the field, and certainty of belief and motivation that drives the characters. Something of a rarity in contemporary spy fiction. Fortunately one doesn‘t have to read the series in sequence to enjoy it. (Though my wife would disagree.)

Another great read in the series 👍🏻 finished 20 mins into return journey so good job I brought my kindle!

Train reading. On way to Nottingham Uni open day with daughter. She‘s so good she‘s working on the train!!

#bookhaul I decided to reward myself for being a nice person by a quick trip to The Book Rack. Slowly filling in my hardback collection of Silva's Gabriel Allon series (I own them all in Kindle, but decided I wanted the hardbacks for my library) and the first six Pennyroyal Green #romantsy because someone said JAL was funny. I like funny in my romance novels. 😊

Another brilliant, can't-put-it-down, edge-of-your-seat novel from Daniel Silva! I'm glad that the next one in the series is a continuation of this plot line.

Still loving this series. This one was particularly interesting because it walks the reader through a spy recruitment. Sooooo good.
