February Thaw
February Thaw: And Other Stories of Contemporary Fantasy | Tanya Huff
7 posts
February Thaw is the second e-collection by Tanya Huff and brings together some of the short fiction that helped define the field. From an Imperial Dragon in Toronto's Chinatown, to a heavy metal retelling of Jack and the Beanstalk, to the realization that the ancient gods are one highly dysfunctional family, Huff skews our world slightly sideways. These seven stories, each with a brand new introduction by the author, remind us that the weird and the wonderful is all around us if we only bother to look.

No #BookReport/#WeeklyForecast today, it‘s #FebruaryWrapUp time instead! I had a very good February overall. I finished up the Jemisin series I started last month & had some great books come in from the library (surprisingly mostly black authors, and for February - Black History Month I was surprised they came earlier than expected. Usually that‘s when they disappear).

I fell way behind on my #FellowshipOfTolkien though, so March Goals! 😉

Well, #FabulousFebruary was affected by the Texas/Louisiana snowpocalypse, but I was able to finish 4/6 and started the fifth (which I finished this morning). All that remains is the Angelou, which I hope to read this week. Thanks @Andrew65 for another good readathon. Is there one this coming weekend?

Andrew65 That‘s great given everything going on, well done 👏👏👏🍾🥂🥳🚀 (edited) 4y

Favorite- Devil‘s Daughter by Lisa Kleypas
I did a ton of audio reading this month. I had a lot of so-so books unfortunately. And I embraced the romance mainly this month!
I am at 33 of my 165 book reading challenge for the year. Pretty great!

StillLookingForCarmenSanDiego Great job! 📚💖 6y
