I enjoyed this book very much(pub.2015). I like the way the story was written and the illustrations throughout. I think this fit into the family story category.
I really enjoyed how the book started off with a letter from the child's grandpa. It was a great way to get things started, but I also think that this book is an awesome way to get kids excited and curious about the summer or school breaks.

Ice Cream Summer by Peter Sis, 2015. This book made me hungry !! The illustrations were so cool and I liked how the ice cream was incorporated in every picture. I also liked how the words were in different colors. The pictures were bright and colorfully which made it more fun to read.

Ice Cream Summer by Peter Sis (picture book published 2015) is all about a boy named Joe‘s exciting summer! And it really dives into his love for ice cream and how much he‘s learning! It was good but there was a lot of writing in the illustration that would be harder for the younger grades I want to teach

This book will appeal to children because what kid doesn‘t love ice cream or a colorful book? This book also encourages children to learn about what they love and how it can be incorporated into all subject matters like math, history, and literature!

i liked this page because they were very clever with putting ice cream ingredients and instructions in the mountains

This would be good to read to first or second or even kindergarteners right before school gets out to remind them to study but also have fun

This is a picture book. I like this book because it talks about two things at once kids might not notice at first

This book was good and I enjoy the set up of it, but I‘m not sure that I completely love it enough to buy it.

Ice Cream Summer is a picture book by Peter Sis. It was written in 2015. This book is filled with beautiful colors that mesh together so well to make a very calming type of mood. The story is very enjoyable and fun to follow along. It‘s like a letter explaining all about this characters life and all they do. And it talks about a lot of stuff children can relate to so I think it would hold their attention.

This is a cute book to bring kids back into learning after the summer is over with. It shows kids that it is okay to want to learn in school and to read and practice math. This would be a good, fun book to read to my students to show them you can have fun AND learn in school at the same time.

The illustrations were fantastic in this book, however, the book itself was all over the place so I had a hard time figuring out the purpose or why I would read it to my student'. It was just a fun book! A cute book about kid exploration and how it's okay to want to learn and to love learning new things.

This picture book has great illustrations that makes the words come to life. It also includes facts about history and math equations. I would recommend this book. The title of the book goes perfect with the words and illustrations.

I would use this book in my classroom in the first couple weeks of class. I would have the student write their own letter to a family member about their summer and help them correct and mail them out.

This book was more visually pleasing to look at than reading it. I would say that this isn‘t the most engaging of books for kids, but the pictures are still fu to look at

I loved how the main character talked about all the things he was learning. He really wanted to prove that he was earning his trip during summer. This could be fun to discuss everything the class has learned over the school year.

Published in 2015 by Scholastic Press. This story makes very interesting use of lines. Some of the illustrations even look like they‘re made out of dots. The story is very cute & might be fun to read towards the end of a school year.

Express to children that you can learn anything through the use of one concept, ice cream!

This book a a great book the will appeal to children. All children love to eat ice cream and this books helps them know they can still learn through ice cream. The character in the book is still doing his schoolwork but is leaning his math, problem solving, history, and more all through the internet of ice cream. This would be a great book to read to children at any time. A very cool time to read this to a class would be on an “ice cream party” day.

I absolutely loved this book because it reminded me a lot of myself, especially when I was younger. All the little boy can talk and think about it ice cream. The pictures in this book give a lot of imagination and puts you specifically inside of the boy‘s imagination.
