“Eight Will Fall” is a dark fantasy with horror elements scattered throughout. I found the initial plot and concept interesting, however the level of gore was a bit excessive and a good chunk of the book fell flat for me, plot twists and all.

↯ There was a lot of characters and the author focused on three. Two were developed, as they were the love interests. The other helped advanced the plot whenever it slowed.
↯ I am a HUGE fan of the fantasy in this book. It‘s always constant and never forgotten. The story was predictable but not in a good way. Just. This again?
Overall, it‘s a nice book to pass the time with, but not to dive into.
Thrilling horror fantasy about a group of eight rebels/prisoners who are sent in a crack underground to stop a very bad guy. Monsters, magic, banter, and I couldn‘t put it down. Even if spelunking is my worst nightmare.
I don't know why, but when I'm on the treadmill at the gym all I want to read is YA! 😁 I'll be honest, I absolutely picked this up because of the hella awesome cover and title. 🙊But despite not really knowing anything about it going in, I am really enjoying it so far! The story is really unique! 😀
I really need to read instead of paint books, but hey at least I was productive 😅 #paintededges #FairyLoot #tbr
I liked it. I like reading a little bit of horror now and then. It wasn‘t too heavy on gore for me but there were a few scenes that might turn some off. This is also a standalone.
Okay I think I have to reread this to give it a proper review. This was marketing to have horror influences...It's a kinda darker fantasy so the whole book I was confused and just waiting for something darker to come in that would justify that “horror“ tag. It didn't. I'm so annoyed with books being mismarketed. I had no issues with the characters and I liked the conflict. I could've done with some more worldbuilding but I...don't.see.the.horror.
I've been so curious about this since the publisher bought it so time to give it a try in between tweets about Harry & Meghan 🤣
Gonna start this tonight. Hopefully this fairy loot book holds my interest better than the last two did
#EightWillFall is a very important reminder of why I need to not be distracted by covers and take in the actual summary. While it was a good book (definitely recommend because not only was it a wild ride but also a stand-alone) I somehow failed to take in that it was a horror fantasy and was not at all prepared for what I read 🤦🏼♀️😂 My bad 🤣😭😱thanks #Netgalley for the chance to read, imma read something fluffy now.
Thanks to #netgalley I have some reading to work through this weekend. Top of that list is #EightWillFall by Sarah Harian which has been pushed off for so long for no other reason than poor planning, but I mean to finish it before it‘s published day.
Love this cover. It feels like a graphic novel (even though it is not). I just love the illustration of the girl and seeing inside her head.
