While this is ostensibly a book about making art, a large part of it is devoted to the author‘s descriptions of viewing other people‘s art, and those were the passages that spoke to me the most. It was also a treat to get to see so many of the author‘s own paintings reproduced in full color throughout the book. #NewYearWhoDis #Nonfiction2022 #ImMarvelous @Riveted_Reader_Melissa @monalyisha @jen_the_scribe
My son caught what we hope is a cold, and it quickly spread throughout our household. To be safe, I'm getting tested for COVID. I've been here over 3 hours. Still waiting to see the doctor (already had the test). But on the bright side, I finished another lovely memoir by Natalie Goldberg. Writing Down the Bones is probably my favorite book on writing, and this one melds my love of art AND writing together. I'll be going back to it again.
I have a lot to do today, but been feeling a bit down lately. So, I figured I deserved to enjoy my comfy bed for a bit longer, along with my current reads, coffee, and a piece of cinnamon crumb cake. I'll get to work in an hour or so...

Have you guys heard of "rocking?" It's when people paint rocks and leave them for others to find? Well one of the rockers left a whole tile to be decorated on my desk. I begrudgingly accepted the mission and did the two squares on the bottom left. My calligraphy skills are non-existent but they'll do.
