Man, this series! I figured it would be good, but I didn't expect it to be like.. this dang good!
I bawled my eyes out in this one. Heart definitely was broken. But lordy, I love Vhalla and Aldrik's love story. They're quickly becoming one of my favorites.
I'm not ready for this series to end, but I'm at the 5th and final book now. At least I have the Vortex Visions series to read after so I'll still be in the same world.
pickI have loved every moment of this series... until now. I understand the importance of this installment, but I felt that it was more contrived than the others. The romantic tension between Vhalla and Aldrik has been nearly eliminated. Though Kova has attempted to create a situation that seems to put their relationship in jeopardy, she almost immediately negates that tension. I was disappointed with the ending and with the turn that this series took
pickI loved this one in particular due to the separation of the main character from everything she‘s been through in the last year and seeing her continue to evolves on her own. Vhalla is a character I can connect with.
Hoping to finish this tonight and then listen to Crystal Crowned on audio while roadtripping 8-ish hours to Calgary for Elise Kova and Danielle Jensen's event! Maybe i can squeeze in Stolen Songbird too?
