Revisiting Welty after many years and enjoying her now even more than in my 20s. Faulkner gets all the attention but Welty is the heart of great Mississippi writers. When I'm reading her works I'm 10 years old again and visiting my great aunts in Jackson listening to them talk about the good old days.

Did half of this on audio, ending up not giving a rat‘s ass about anyone or anything, and now I‘m outta here.

I loved the first book in the Martin Beck series and was thrilled to find a bunch here, but they didn't have all the books in the series so I just tried to get a few in the series order and will fill in the gaps later.
