MacDonald challenges the reader‘s imaginative capabilities and his metaphorical associations. I never thought that I would one day empathize with Lilith, whom many of us know about already. However, MacDonald softens the heart, and does some magic that eventually pulls the reader into a sense of pity for all characters, including her. The ending is quite sad, but hopeful, as are many things in life.

So I did enjoy this one. But I had a harder time getting “into it“ as much as I thought I would. Had a huge fantasy element which I love but... I don't know it kinda reminded me of IQ84 (But not as good) Maybe that is not fair as I have been so easily distracted. If there was a button between So-So and Pick it would be there.

ElizaMarie @Chrissyreadit I don't know. They change things daily. So.. pt was accepted and was NEGATIVE, then later (a day?) developed symptoms was retested and was POSITIVE. So who knows. I feel fine though. Just stuck with NO CHEESE!!! -- When I found out I should quarantine it was laundry/grocery day. So I am resorting to tuna and ramen for the past few days. -- At least I have coffee!!! 4y

Throat sore (which is my norm I the AM), maybe covid? Its one of those paranoia things that is getting to me! 4y
