My animals. With a daughter who is a veterinarian that‘s why we had so many animals. Only Abbey, the dog, is alive right now and she is very old. The cats were named Blackberry, Mulchbox and Mr. Zebra.
pickAs school begins I thought I should pay homage to the amazing children‘s author/illustrator Graeme Base. His illustrations are beautifully detailed and add a gorgeous visual element to his well crafted and unique stories.
pickA different take on an alphabet book with sentence-long descriptions and pages full of things that start with the letter! Some of the illustrations are bit overwhelming and some vocabulary could need explanation, but I liked how different this one was! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #bbrc #a2z #picturebooks
This is my #childhoodfavorite! It was given to me by my uncle when I was little. There were years where I had it completely memorized. I wish I still did, I should work on that.

pickThis is such a cool book. Each letter gets an alliterative rhyme using animals getting up to all sorts of shenanigans. The lions in the library are my favorite. 😊😊😊 There‘s something new to discover each time you look at each page! (Especially a boy in a striped shirt!) 6/1,001 #1001ChildrensBooks

pickThis is one of my favorite picture books. I could look at it for hours and not get bored. The amazing detail in the artwork is just genius and I still see “new” finds every time I pour through the pages. #Ampersand2018

This was one of my children's favorite #childhood reads. Each page was covered in intricate pictures of things that start with that letter, and had an alliterative sentence like "Lazy lions lounging in the local library." This magnificent picture book kept my daughter and me busy for so many hours! The pictures are picaresque, detailed, endlessly inventive and exquisitely arcane! 25 years later we'll pull this out occasionally for some mother/daughter bonding and giggling.
