So glad I finally grabbed this off the TBR: I loved the premise and the interesting magical system! Kai's adventures and personal dramas after being exposed as a Moonburner sorceress play out amongst the political machinations of warring kingdoms based on sexist prejudices. The Asian setting and delightful magical seishen companions add wonderful flavor to this YA fantasy. Good thing book 2 is coming out soon!
