Found you when your heart was broke
I filled your cup until it overflowed
Took it so far to keep you close (Keep you close)
I was afraid to leave you on your own🎶
April won't let Jonah go without a fight. He's her boyfriend-her best friend. She'll do anything to keep him safe.

I laughed. I cried my eyes out. This book was an emotional roller coaster I didn't know I needed. April and Jonah quickly fall in love but soon Jonah starts talking to voices that aren't there and is becoming a hazard to himself. April is torn between protecting the boy she loves or betraying him the way he feels everyone else has. #springreads #youngadult #mentalillness #contemporary
Not bad for a day one. I haven't finished the tagged book but I'm about halfway now. I did read a bit from other books as well today and will be reading in bed tonight. Hoping to either have 9 1/2 to 8 hours left tomorrow morning. Also this book is slowly breaking my heart. #13in3 #youngadult #ya #mentalillness #crying
Here is my #tbr for this weekends #readathon. I am really hoping to finish both then she was gone and woman in the window. Bonus if I can finish your voice is all I hear! #8intwo #springreads #rainyday
Just finished this and was pretty good. I always like reading a story that has a little intensity. It has a little romance, but I wouldn‘t recommend this if you want something light or fluffy.
Wow what a brilliant story honestly got to be the best YA book dealing with a mental health issue
This book is one that makes your heart ache. I didn't particularly like the main character, but I still felt for her. I really enjoyed the writing style.

This contemporary YA tackles a myriad of mental illnesses in a great, heartbreaking story. It's a bit of a slow read, but it packs a punch at the end. This book made me cry, and that makes a for a good book!

Stunning story that shows not only the struggle of someone suffering mental health problems but also the pain people feel from watching their loved ones suffer. This shows a wonderful story through the eyes of a teenager, the awkwardness of being young and the way mental health is so taboo. Very emotional and sent me through a rollercoaster of empathy and tears.
If Litsy offered an option for something between "so-so" & a "pick", I would place this book in that category. The author is skilled at storytelling, but I have no patience for Mary Sue main characters, especially those who are codependent/have zero ability to self protect/are willing to take so much shit from everyone. This is partially my own issue, though, as my ex-father thought this is how all women should be, so it particularly rankles. YMMV
