“It was as though I were a part of the cold and therefore could not react to it.
Ice within ice.
Numbness all the way through to the emptiness at my core.” 🤷🏻♀️

I decided to go with one of my favorite female authors from childhood.
When I was a kid I came across this book at the library. After that I read every book by Lois Duncan I could get my hands on. Her books were so creepy.
I couldn‘t find her favorite book but I found out a lot about her here.

She sold her first piece at 13 years old.

I read this in middle school during my Lois Duncan phase. I picked it up again last night - we‘re going to be reading it for an upcoming episode - and I was immediately taken back. I can‘t believe how clearly I remembered it! -corinne
A snack as I switch over to a physical book after some #audiocleaning

I did almost an hour at midnight before I fell asleep. Now it‘s time to get going! #throwbackreadathon #24in48readathon
I‘m starting a little late. This is my first book for the #throwbackreadathon
Lois Duncan messed me up as a kid. I read her books way too young and they stuck with me. I‘m working my way through them to exorcise those demons😈
I'm sorry for being a serial poster right now, haha. But catching up on #AwesomeAutumnBooks and this post is for #Stranger. I immediately thought of Lois Duncan and Stranger with My Face. She wrote the creepiest novels, and I absolutely loved them! May she Rest In Peace 😢
Day 25 #AndItsAugust #Framed Photo challenge catch up ? I don't have any bookish art or quotes framed & although I've read books where a character was framed, I couldn't think of any titles offhand, and so I'm going with books with framed mirrors or pictures on the cover. The top three are from my younger days and fairly recently reread. "Inside the O'Briens" is the only one I haven't read--it's still in my #TBR stack. ??
Read this when I was 12. Scared the crap out of my pre-pubescent self. 8/10
An author whose books defined my pre-teen reading...RIP http://www.nytimes.com/2016/06/19/books/lois-duncan-82-dies-author-knew-what-you...
