This book follows the stories of three women, woven together by time. The author takes you on a journey from Victorian England to the ending of World War two and then to present day England. Weaving the three different stories together so beautifully that you don‘t mind rotating from one story to the next.

As Kristy Cambron weaves together the stories of three women and periods of time, a beautiful, intriguing story unfolds, and I loved it.

Kristy Cambron truly has a gift for storytelling and this well-crafted time slip novel that will enchant you from the first page. Each time period has a fully developed plot and beautifully sketched characters who will pull at your heartstrings. Reading The Painted Castle is like going on a thrilling scavenger hunt to discover the treasure and story within objects from the past.
